Baby and the bathwater problem

To avoid over-correction...

Please notice that when I write, I tend to present a problem, then fix that problem, and point out what problems arise after fixing a problem, or what might happen if you over-correct. This may make my texts a little difficult to follow at times, but I don’t want to wind up in a situation where everyone is so over-authentic that they fear to change for anybody, not even the person who they think is the most amazing person they’ve ever met, and who is more than willing to accept those changes for true ones, for example.

I am always aiming to find a balance point in the way we are. The point between “I’ll sacrifice myself for all others” and “oh fuck you everybody, I live for nobody but myself”, you know? A lot of the times it is not easy to see what over-correction will do to a problem, so I’ll point out at least the problems I can predict arising. When it is your specific situation, mull things over from your perspective, too, and see what fits where… As you would anyway.
