Looking miserable won’t win you love.

There’s a certain instinct that we can have to look even more miserable than what we are so that someone might notice we need love and care. While some people won’t want love that isn’t half pity, to some it may help to realize that you know what? People at a dance club are not looking to have a heart-to-heart about life’s ordeals or hoping to run into someone needing a shoulder to cry on. They’re there to have fun.

So, if you want love, try to have fun. If you have to fake it, fake being interested, present, and enjoying yourself, looking like you want to hook up maybe, rather than fake being miserable and desperate for some human contact.
