Dominant the Savants* vs. Dominant the Normal Person* and then, the confusing mellow people.

Dominant the Savants* and Dominant the Normal Person* are relatively easy to identify. The Savants* are always pushing toward equality, mutual benefit, and happiness for all, while the dominant the Normal Person* are in it for themselves, EVEN IF they pretend to be in it for everybody. The Normal Person* will say whatever it takes to turn people on their side, but they will not deliver on their promises as long as they get what they want. In politics, when you are voting, your number 1 question, thus, must be: “the Normal Person* or the Savants*.” Never vote for the Normal Person* unless they’re your family member, even if you ARE dog-type.

Then, there are the beta-cats and beta-dogs. They are far trickier to identify because both types will conform rather easily as long as their personal circumstances allow it. Also, the Savants*, even if they have the potential to be domineering, will mellow out when their circumstances are acceptable. They will start “trashing about” only when they are being pushed toward a lifestyle they simply do not want to accept for themselves. The Normal Person*trashes about when they feel they don’t KNOW HOW to be what they are expected to be, or, similarly, they don’t have enough INSTRUCTION to become something. The Normal Person* do not learn independently, but the Savants* has trouble being TAUGHT – they prefer independent learning, even if they sometimes voluntarily pick up a book to learn from. (But they may be choosy about the book.)

In a large family, by the way, the successful kids are most likely the Savants*, because they know how to educate themselves and manage themselves. The Normal Person*kids can’t get enough attention and, thus, often sprawl out of control and into a life of crime or simply need to find a girlfriend or a boyfriend who will straighten them out. This person is often, sadly the Savants*, because the Normal Person* need to be committing early on in life, and at that stage of life, only the Savants* have things figured out IF their parents aren’t too strict or focussed on them. The Savants* thrive in large families, while the Normal Person* are best raised in small families with at least one the Normal Person*parent. As children and teens, the Normal Person* cannot get enough attention, whereas the Savants* rather would avoid all of it if they can – this will flip when both types age. But even then, the type of attention the cats will be seeking will be different.

What you/they’d be like without your family

It is difficult, sometimes, to determine whether a beta-type person or a happily adjusting dominant person is a cat or the Normal Person*ality. They both seem outwardly very similar. It requires a little probing, but one way to try and decide is to try to imagine what they’d be like without their family. The dog-type, first of all, finds this exercise VERY distressing. To them, family is everything, like a whole body, and they’d feel absolutely lost without their family. An Savant*, even though they love their family, will shrug it off and say; “well, if I hadn’t had you, I wouldn’t know to miss you, and this would be my life, most likely…” they can quite easily imagine themselves without their family, sometimes feeling rather liberated by the thought. It is also important for the Savants* to periodically imagine themselves without a family, to give themselves direction.
