You’re a compromise to every person you consider a compromise.

Do not fear rejecting people. Every person who you think is a compromise partner will feel YOU are a compromise partner, too. They may have to tolerate your good looks, your ambition, your annoying hunger for knowledge or perfection, and they consider it a compromise to have to cater to the needs of the likes of you. On the other hand, you may feel they’re boring, average, disappointingly unambitious, and need help getting sophisticated and a touch of a better life; and so utterly incapable of helping themselves.

Everyone in this world considers themselves the picture of perfection. TRUST ME, THIS MEANS EVERYONE. Therefore, if you’re not looking at your own image; a perfect reflection of yourself; your True Emotion Mirror, you will not be impressed by them, and they won’t be impressed by you, either. This is the bitter pill we all need to swallow at some stage, so we’ll get over the last strand of narcissism: thinking that the people who love you or are interested in a relationship with you agree you’re their superior because you think they’re inferior. They don’t. They think you’re inferior to them, the logic of which may be somewhat surprising to you. Your True Emotion Mirrors at least agree with you on what is superior and what is inferior as a goal, even if you’re at a different position on the route to that perfection.

By the way, people are angry with you when they think you COULD BE like them but are too lazy/insecure/clueless to strive to be the perfection they are. And yes, their logic will seem bizarre to you. The question is; who does think like you; those are the people you should chase.
