Unemployed dating
I had a freaking epiphany, people.
I have been unemployed for several years, and only now realized that what one could do in a situation like this is to date other unemployed people. This is so insane that it had never occurred to me to go that way specifically; to enjoy TIME together. When people are employed, they are always busy; they’re never really there because even when they are, they’re tired and preoccupied.
I thought, what bliss! Imagine waking up next to someone who isn’t rushing to get out the door as soon as they get up. Someone who understands your financial situation and doesn’t have the compulsion to help you, get you a job – any job, or argue with you that SURELY YOU CAN AFFORD A FEW BEERS! “A FEW!!!” You scoff as you order one, with shaking hands, knowing full well you can’t “shout” a round to your friends.
Unemployed people need to start socializing and dating, specifically among other long-term unemployed or lifestyle unemployed. Not only could that lead to friendship, and romance, but also sound, fun business ideas… that work. Still, there’s no luxury worth working for like a silent alarm clock.
There are several reasons people are unemployed, but don’t we all have our stereotypes? Among the several different kinds, there’s bound to be a good few that fit the bill perfectly.
Also, if you have money to spend, there are a lot of too-smart-for-9-to-5 people out there…. Get yourself a toy. 😉
