Negotiating your release from karmic bonds
You don’t necessarily have to do this in person, but you might. If you do have a habit of having spirit conversations, this will work, hopefully, in a spirit conversation, too.
What the Savants* don’t often notice is that the Normal Person* expect a certain negotiation to take place at the end of a relationship. Therefore, you may need to do the following.
- Ask someone who you feel is holding onto you what it is that they want from you.
- Ask for their conditions. You don’t need to accept them, but ask what it is that they expect.
- Respond honestly. Are you going to? Are you not? If not, why?
The reason why anarchists don’t usually negotiate their “release” is that they don’t truly believe a person can be owned by another. They believe announcing that they are leaving is enough. The Normal Person* don’t see it the same way. They expect to dismantle relationships based on mutually negotiated terms. They want to be informed on how to go on about saving face, mainly. What will you agree to do in order for them to save face; how to face the embarrassment of having been broken up with.
You don’t have to give them anything, just inform them how things are going to be for them. Whether they’ll treat you as a friend or an enemy, for instance. Are you going to stay civil for the kids, or are you fighting? the Normal Person* will always assume that for as long as you are fighting, there’s a way back. Negotiation is what they see as an ending to the relationship, so… Do it.
