People love being loved and admired, sure, but not nearly as much as they love being entertained.
If you think you’ve got everything covered by simply admiring and loving others, you’ve got it wrong. While being loved and admired is nice, it’s not nearly as nice as being entertained. We love having good-humored, funny people around who have ideas for fun up in their sleeves. People who are always ready and willing to relax and kick back, and to offer some good company for good fun. If you cannot entertain people, you cannot be very loved, no matter how much you love others – the Savants* in particular.
The lowest level of entertainment: Look nice.
Then: Be polite and nice. Pay compliments.
Next, Learn to be on good humor, even if you cannot crack jokes.
Flirt.
Follow up with some jokes.
Become wise and observant with the jokes you tell.
Next level stuff: Sing, dance, wow people with your skills, and that moves you toward the category of a professional entertainer.
And somewhere along there is the ultimate entertainer: Sex. Even when it’s bad it’s still pretty good, is the word on the streets… 😉
After you do all this, you realize that being entertaining is fun, being entertained is fun, and in comparison, being loved and admired is… a bit of bleh, really – and much more fun to FEEL than to be the object of.
