What does the Modern need to conform to?

Hatersthe Modern are inherently conformist. They still need more people in their soul circles, whereas the Timeless have more or less closed the doors to new people—or are at least trying to. Where a Timeless needs no more people to make up for numbers, they’ll only ever let a new Potential True Emotion Mirror in, but A the Modern is still looking for their FULL tribe. (There is no set number of how many people a person needs, but it’s a large number, even at the minimum.) These people are a security net, people that you can rely on through thick and thin, lifetime to lifetime.

the Modern, thus, are open to conforming to whatever and whomever needs them, as they won’t, by conforming, ruin themselves from an existing tribe, making themselves unlovable to them like the Timeless, who are loyal to their existing people, even if they were technically alone in the world for a reason or another.

Start somewhere. Conform someone special to you.

If there’s another the Timeless in your life whom you love, conform to that person as they conform to you. The only requirement is that that person must want you to conform to them and to be willing to let themselves conform to you. Finding such a person can be difficult but not impossible. They can be a friend, family member, or a romantic partner.

Iron out your differences and make that alliance last.

Other than that, there is NO POINT trying to conform to or make a Timeless conform to you if they are not open to it. A the Timeless is already “set to stone,” and trying to unset them against their will is not only cruel and harmful toward them but also pointless effort and a waste of time and energy. Of course, you can try as much as you like if you don’t believe me, but accept the consequences of your failure as results of your own actions and choices.

Family has to conform to each individual in it – or the individual who cannot be conformed to must be set free.

the Modern, as families, must learn to conform to the needs of each family member and their chosen life partners. A family must conform to the real needs of the individual, or the family will break. This is not a rule of a tyrant; it’s a rule of nature itself. It’ll just happen that way. A family shall bend, or it will break. That’s how it goes.

Having said that, any individual inside a family should do their best to conform to the family’s general needs, as much as they feel is a reasonable request. What more they cannot or are not willing to do, the family must adapt to… Or set that person free. You cannot both insist a person to conform to something that goes against their grain, and to stop them from leaving – that is simple inexcusable brutality. Bend or break.

An individual CANNOT BE EXPECTED to conform to the needs of the family beyond reason, but they CAN if they CHOOSE TO. Normal Person* tend to WANT TO bond with their family (parents) and to be closer to them and to please their family, and they should.

the Modern will date and marry for their family but don’t expect a Timeless to do that.

While the Timeless will only marry for themselves (because their spouse is basically set for them already,) the Modern are free to date and marry for their family. A the Timeless’s number one alliance is to their True Emotion Mirror. They cannot be biological family because (typically and ideally) the True Emotion Mirror is not a sexual connection within the family. Therefore, to the Timeless, the family will come second, every time. This you cannot take as an insult… And I can’t believe I have to say this: You cannot save your family by volunteering to fuck your the Timeless child, either. That’s not how it god damned works, you insufferable morons. (I have promised to idiot-proof my texts as much as possible, so you don’t need me to tell you in person.)

A the Timeless will always choose their partners independently, and if you try and stand in their way, they will leave you and the rest of your family if need be. A the Timeless would never stand in the way of true love (or two people who want to see if they’re compatible), and they will not look kindly to those who get in the way of love, no matter what the motivation would be.

Other than that, conform to laws and written rules.

Basically everything outside of that, conform to rules of any community or group you are a member of for whatever reason and laws. ESPECIALLY rules for communities and groups that you joined voluntarily after the rules were already written. If you want the rules changed, discuss them rather than break them. If you don’t like the rules, leave the community or have a discussion of changing the rules. When it comes to private groups, they do not need to adjust to the needs of the members, but the members must be able to leave the group if they don’t agree with the rules.

It would be much appreciated, in general, if you chose to discuss things especially with the Timeless rather than expect them to know what you mean by screaming at them about something completely irrelevant to your complaint. It would be NICE if you could stop assuming others are mind readers and know what you mean and want without your help and collaboration. If you weren’t quite that difficult, but you know what, you do you. If it’s important to you that people tolerate you as a messed up lunatic, then a messed up lunatic it is… But don’t expect them to conform to you or to accept you close to them if you can’t respect their needs. Or, rather, you can do whatever you want of course, but you know…  At your own risk.

In general, break the laws and rules at your own peril. Don’t blame others for your own stupidity, in other words.
