You don’t always have to be the one to take the high road.
Although being a grown up in any relationship means that you have to meet people half way and give them a chance to apologize, smooth things over, and to be a nice person, you don’t have to always be the bigger person or the one who always has to take the high road. You have the right to say “fuck this” at times, too.
