When is the last time you’ve actually met a douche of a guy?

I’m not saying that douchebags don’t exist. They do. Some are douches by default; some are douches as a reaction to douche-bag women. The reverse can also be true. However, just try and figure out this math if you’re capable; how many of the men you actually know you’d classify as chauvinistic or “members of the patriarchy?” How much of the female oppression you experience comes from men, and how much of it comes from other women?

For example, WOMEN tell you men don’t like sluts. In my experience, that’s not at all true. In my experience, WOMEN don’t like sluts because men like them too much, but what’s the best way to tell a heterosexual woman not to fuck men as much as she’d like (thus “stealing” men)? Tell her MEN don’t like it because women’s opinions here don’t really matter to her.

How much of what you “know” about men comes from experience, and how much of it comes from listening to other women bitch and groan about the men in their lives? Do you realize how prone to presenting situations to our own favor people are exactly? If you haven’t heard his side of the story, you better believe she has smoothed over some part of her own doing… Most of us do, men do, as well, but men seem to try harder to be fair toward the other party.

I know no man, other than a feminist man or two, has ever told me to shut up. No man has ever tried to tell me how to live my life (against my will/without me asking), but women certainly have. (A funny exception to that is a bunch of Turkish men who had a real issue with me shaving my head for a couple of years. They seemed properly offended. Other than that, I heard nothing but compliments.)

Do you realize that most of feminism relies on the false negative stereotype of an oppressive, self-serving, greedy male… And those traits are not MASCULINE traits; they are traits of a person with a personality disorder… And RARE to find in actual reality. Disorders that also seem to be far more common in women than men these days. It is NOT COOL for feminists to associate narcissistic and borderline disorder traits with “masculine” traits. They have NO REAL LINK or causality.

Make sure “strong and independent” doesn’t get mixed in with “abusive and selfish;” Not the same thing.
