Business I: Hiring souls instead of qualifications
Any successful businessman will admit that their spirituality is partially the key to their success – in whatever form their spirituality manifests. A successful business is as much a spiritual experience as it is work, and the enjoyment and fulfilment of it can’t be exaggerated. Making it a success needs cunning and knowledge and one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make is who you spend your money on when you’re hiring.
Now, the following is a bit out there, and this is a brand new theory that I have been working on for some time. You might wonder what does evolution has to do with you hiring an employee, but stick with me for a moment. It takes an open mind, but should you think it through, it should start making perfect sense. Let’s cut this into pieces first.
Why are we even here?
The scientists say that the Universe was created by accident by nobody by event started by nothing for no particular reason. The question remains: what tipped the balance, and what made everything fall in line so that we were created? If you ask me, believing that theory requires quite a bit of blind trust, don’t you think?
So, the other version says that God created the Universe, built a human out of clay… clearly, that is rubbish – I won’t go into it, and if you are still inclined to believe that story I think you better stop reading now. 🙂
Then, there’s a group that believes God directed evolution into what it is now – but I don’t believe in that either, not exactly.
I believe that the Universe was created out of curiosity to see what would happen if a bunch of free spirits was given the chance to create/be anything they wanted. Anything would be better than nothing. Where did these spirits come from is as much of a question as to where did God come from, or where did all that clumped-up matter come from that exploded in what we know as the Big Bang… So there’s always the question of well what was before… But. I believe there was not one single entity called God, but that several got awakened around the same time… Even if that “same time” was thousands of years apart.
I have a more sophisticated genesis-theory to share, but I’ll leave that to another time.
Evolution of species – the evolution of spirits
The evolution of species is a reflection of the evolution of the souls that occupy the physical beings. We came into a physical form from a simple need to have a physical form. We then evolved further as our needs and wants crew and developed, until we reached what we are today. (We became hungrier as we ate.)
Skipping ahead for a few million years, I’ll mention that once a species reaches a certain soul age level that it no longer wishes to evolve from, the species stays as it is as the evolution continues in certain individuals that cannot stop going forward. A gorilla, as an example, stopped evolving on human Soul Age Phase Teen 1, which is all about preservation of the previous, restoration of order, and keeping things in balance. Early humans disturbed that balance or our tribes, were cast out of the species, and we evolved separately as rogues. Evolution requires rebellion, otherwise, it won’t happen.
Our souls can still reincarnate between species in whichever way they choose. It is merely a question of “what do you want to be when you grow up?”
As we incarnate to a new species, in this case into humans, we have to start from phase one, because we need to learn the ways of the new species. We learn at our own rate, watching each other and learning from each other, until we become self-confident, learn the ways of the world and decide to take our place in it. Then we start rocking the boat. With each phase, we thrive in different things, because each soul age phase demands a new answer to the puzzle we are building: “who am I?” Some of us are in the Infant 1 stage, and we evolve all the way to Ancients, who are happily free-wheeling in this world never minding societal norms and boundaries, creating where renewal is needed and destroying the old where demolition is required.
Now, that out of the way, what does this have to do with your hiring decisions?
People in different soul ages work differently
Please find the quick soul age chart here, to keep track of what we are talking about. Give it a quick read – it is for general purposes and outlines the primary goal of each soul age phase.
The Infant soul age level is the level where we start learning about humanity. Highly dependant, simple in their needs, and easily guided and misguided, the Infant Souls are primarily suited for anything simple that needs doing. Normally they are best suited for jobs that need lots of repeating and they are not fussy about the glamour of different jobs. These people have no ego, and they will happily do anything that makes them feel accepted and useful. They will happily work for as long as they are treated with kindness and praise. They do not need forcing or incentives to keep working hard, what they need is FREE; praise and thanks. (Not to say gifts and bonuses wouldn’t work, they are actually pleased as anything to be given gifts, just like children.)
As a special mention, the Infant 5’s and Infant 7’s are especially interested in the business world. If you need a promoter for your business, someone who will put in the good word for you, manage your Facebook profile for you posting pictures of what you do – working as a paid fan, the Infant 5 is your choice. They are ideal for fan sites of bands, artists, or fun products – but not so much as a promoter for a serious-minded business. They are “professional fans” they genuinely admire the person they work for (as long as they’re kind). What they lack in insight and experience, they greatly make up for in devotion. They can also be made a good use of as a part of a promotional team or a political campaigning team, but where ever social tact is of great importance they must have someone looking over their shoulder a little bit and give them guidance. They lack a bit of judgment, but can go a long way making you sound absolutely God sent, even if you weren’t as much… 🙂 They do smell insincerity a mile away though and are mistrusting of anyone not worth helping.
An Infant 7, “the big cheese”, is a businessman type. They will come up with a simple, often unsanitary, and unwanted line of work, yet high-demand business idea and work tirelessly at something others would scoff at. Humorous and friendly, they make this business into success simply by loving what they do so profoundly that nobody can deny them their rightful success.
The Child soul age level means learning how to do things right. Child souls follow protocol precisely without much original thought. They follow orders and are often employed by government offices to take care of things that require strict following of rules and regulations. They should not be handling cases where special consideration is required, because they lack the insight and understanding required for independent decisions that go beyond the very norm. Never, ever, in a million years hire a Child soul in the field of psychology. (Unfortunately, there are masses of them in psychology trying to figure out the rules to humanity.) Instead, hire them for bureaucrats, doctors, or lawyers – they will be cold, but they know what they’re doing as long as understanding the human isn’t a big factor in their work. Their bedside manner may be a little rough around the edges, tho.
The Child soul in phase 2 should not be hired by anyone really. Highly narcissistic and venomous, they will try for power despite their skills or motivations. My warning doesn’t matter, because they are extremely charming and well capable of finding work whether we want them to or not. If your kind heart just jumped, make sure you put them in a position where they are suited to and treat them like a wild animal – unpredictable and under your responsibility. (Upgrade your liability insurance.)
The Teen soul age level is all about trying on different ideals, much like on the Infant level, but in a more demanding way. When an Infant takes on anything without criteria, a Child Soul will follow anything with a clear set of rules without personal responsibility, a Teen will sign themselves off to an ideal and follow it until their dying day – whatever their poison. Devoted workers, eager to please, they should do well in a business environment if they are that way aligned. Other teens will thrive towards arts and other pursuits, but if they are knocking on the door for a spot in business they are well worth considering – if they are qualified.
Teen 5 is an idealist that will devote their life to whatever it is they have sold their soul to. You’ll recognize them from outdated and/or age-inappropriate apparel because they will never sell out or grow old. If they have sold their soul to selling stocks, that is what they will do until they drop dead, but at the same time trying to fit in without coveting the role of the boss but forever hanging onto their glory days. (Ancients may also seem like they’re hanging to their glory days, but they update their look while sticking to the style.)
Teen 7 deserves another special mention for focus and drive. Their personal life sucks, and the escape is found in work. At times distracted by heartache, they make up for it when they want to forget and sink into the work they do. They play as hard as they work, as they work to forget their aching heart. A great worker, but with the risk of burnout as they cannot relax; they make an event out of relaxing, too.
On the Adult soul age level people will focus primarily on family and relationships and appeal to a lot of voters in both politics in conservative business roles. Their family values are still focused on survival – this means hard workers who want to provide their children with a better life than they had.
Adult level 2 is the guy who is desperately trying to rally everyone up for a team-building day. In a large business, you might want to keep him around or… alternatively locked up because the older souls will want to shoot him. 😀
The Old soul age level is a difficult one to hire from. On the other hand, they have good life experiences under their belt, but they are starting to see other alternatives to their ultimate goal. You shouldn’t expect to keep them for life, but you would make a mistake not taking advantage of their knowledge while you can. They are the talented ones who are gaining experience to one day start their own business – but on a positive note for you, they might never get around to it due to fear and depression and a simple lack of drive. They have seen the futility of going after money alone, and they have realized family doesn’t make things all that much better but rather traps you into the rat race than gives you real purpose. (If you try to give meaning to your life by producing another meaningless life in the hopes they’ll grow up curing cancer, you’ll find your life pretty empty in the end.) They’ve given up on the inner child and that is what drives them to ground. However.
The Old soul 6 is a tireless worker but often puts his efforts solely towards his own business. Absolute workaholic. This is the guy who sleeps for 2 hours a day and works 3 jobs to get ahead – but might never actually get ahead personally because their focus is on hard work and not on the money. They want to find their own bliss but are still too locked in their physical vision to see the real possibilities in life. They can be a natural bullshitter though, promise you the Moon of the sky because they genuinely believe in their own tall stories – and the problem is they are actually wicked talented. If this horse figures out that he has worked hard enough and finally lets up on the idea of working hard and gives space to actually getting somewhere, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with. (Needs Law of Attraction training, but maybe too stubborn to take in the first word of it.)
The Old soul 7’s are excellent marketers (as opposed to promoters). They create brands and drive a message home using their well-established knowledge of the human mind. They will also work well in psychology and anything they set their mind to, but they are still “locked” into the society’s job structure and want to fit in but as individuals. They still care what people think about them, but not too much to compromise their own values. They are solid workers and individuals who are easy to get along with and work with, without much emotional package.
The Ancients should never be hired for a 9-5 job unless it’s a temporary contract. They are freelancers, entrepreneurs, AND business partners, and they need independence, freedom, and masses of challenges to keep interested. If you make things too simple for them, they get depressed and won’t even dignify your menial job with effort. (This is a good tip for any teachers who may be reading if your student seems bright but you can’t make a task too simple for them, try challenging them with something that you tell them is an impossibly difficult question. They cannot pass on a challenge, and love the freedom of ‘impossibility’ because there is no real danger of failure in ‘impossible’.)
They are people who seem to learn a profession by glancing at an article written about it, and who seem to retain information like they were sponges. Hire only if you can see a burn in their eyes, or if you don’t really care who does the job as long as they show up. The Ancients are competing for the menial jobs with Infants because they don’t want to tie up their mental faculties on a job that requires too much energy that they’d rather spend on something they enjoy doing (business or pleasure). They usually know what they want to be from an early age – or don’t have a clue because everything is open to them. They don’t usually care about what people think of them, but never (rarely) make unintentional social blunders.
Ancients are best kept as star athletes (best combined with a team of soulmates), actors, artists, authors, entrepreneurs, scientists, psychologists but even better life coaches, world leaders, and anything that requires charisma, independent thinking, a wealth of knowledge, and understanding of humanity. The major motivator for an Ancient Soul is fun – mischievous, challenging fun, not childish fun. They hate to be babied but love a challenge and a dare. They want to rock the boat, break the rules, make waves and show everyone who’s acing it!
