Quick Self-Improvement Tip: Don’t fight your emotions
You know that feeling when you try to fight the thought of having to pay your bills or the worry you feel about this, that or the other? You try to push the fears out of your mind and tell yourself it doesn’t matter? You have a nagging feeling that someone doesn’t like you, but you push it away thinking it probably isn’t so and you shouldn’t worry about it…? Sounds familiar? All those thoughts that you don’t want to have… Let them come. Nobody else hears you. Let them wash over you like hot water, and let them go. As the thought comes in, it goes out, there’s nothing to worry about them. Keeping them at bay just keeps them nagging, and you won’t be able to solve them or let go of them. Allow that feeling in: “I am worried that…” It doesn’t matter what you worry about, you know that. We worry about silly stuff all the time, and we worry about big stuff all the time. I am worried that… Don’t resist it, you have the right to be worried.
And when you allow that thought in, you can accept it and move on from it. This unpleasant thought is nothing but observation, just look at it and let it be.
