We’re forever lonely until we find a soulmate (love at first sight)

Some of us are lucky enough to be born into a family of Core Personality Mirrors, and they will never know the true meaning of loneliness unless they lose those people closest to them. These people are like the air that we breath, and without them, we are weak, lost and forever seeking for something, someone to give us our soul back. Surrounded by strangers, even strangers that we call mom and dad, our souls get mangled up, beaten down, hated, loathed and molded, criticised, and while meaning well, they change us into something we were never supposed to be. Beaten down we travel, until the moment comes when you meet your first Precious Soulmate*.

The Sun comes out, the air fills your lungs, smile catches your face and you feel connected. If this is your true friend, a Precious Soulmate*, you start talking like you’d always known them, you joke around and know exactly how far to go and what button to push to create the most wicked laughter in your new friend. You hungrily dive into mutual hobbies and interests and whatever you needed to find, they have – or so it seems. You miss nothing while you are with them, apart from your true lover, but now you have a shoulder to cry on. A Facebook update once said something along the lines: You offer the last piece of pizza to a friend, but you’ll steal the last piece out of the hands of your true friend and laugh in their face while you scoff it down (while just a moment ago they were still complaining how hungry they are and you complained how much you ate!) They must know what a Precious Soulmate* is.

Then one day you stare into the eyes of your True Emotion Mirror. The time stands still, Earth stops moving for that one moment in history, you see nobody and nothing except them, you’ll stop traffic if you need to, all else escapes your notice – they are the only thing you see. The connection is instant, you sink into each other’s souls and minds, you know what they are thinking without them saying a word, and you know this is the first day of the rest of your life. The moment is so powerful that you would die and reincarnate just for the opportunity to fall in love like that again. Whatever existed before this is history, it doesn’t matter anymore, everything that matters is this person, only them… Until, if you’re lucky, you meet another one! Whatever you do, whatever you say, whoever you love bears no meaning, for you belong together with your soulmates, and nothing will stop it from happening, although everything is thrown at you – only you can stop yourself with fear and guilt. This is too good to be true. This is too good for you. There must be a trick.

But no, there’s no trick. This is an offer that gives you everything you ever wanted, exactly the way you wanted it deep down… Hopes, wishes and desires that you tried to suppress during those times of isolation, they are all there, on offer, if you are brave enough to grab them. You chose them before, and you’ll choose them again, they chose you, because what you are is what they want, and what they are is what you want. It is the perfect balance. You are needed for them to exist perfectly, and they are needed for you to exist in your perfect form… Even drama can create a perfect balance.

It will be painful… It will be enthralling. It will make you grow and it will make you despair. You will go through the emotions of a life time in one day – or so it seems – and you will wonder if you have gone mad… But no. You simply fell in love.

We’re forever lonely until we find a soulmate.
