Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow Children in the context of Free Spirit Theories

While researching something completely different, I bumped into some interesting correlations between Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow children compared to my own theories. Although I completely disagree on the special  “angelic” or “divine” nature of these children, there is something interesting about them. I noticed that firstly, what was considered to be traits of these children are, in my theories signs of an Ancient Spirit or an Infant Soul, both of which are in my books very difficult to tell apart sometimes, apart from their gracefulness (Ancient) or their clumsiness (Infant). An Infant soul will appear “angelic” and “loving” and like “a nature’s child” whereas an Ancient will seem old for their age, more mature and graceful. An Ancient is also a bit more withdrawn, unless they are born into a family of Actual Personality Mirrors, with whom they are absolutely free to be themselves with and who they take to like fish to water. The family into which a child is born makes a MASSIVE difference in the way that they communicate and behave. Rather than looking for an explanation in some special kind of a healer soul, I would suggest looking into soulmate bonds. When you find your soulmates or are born amongst them, you are telepathic with them although you’d never been that way with anyone else. You don’t, in other words, have a special child, but a very special bond, which in my books is much cooler. (Takes the pressure off, doesn’t it? You can let the kid be a kid!)

Also, the times born indicate not about some “level of enlightenment” necessarily, as it sounds like, but simply a soul groups being born around the same time. The 70’s Indigos by the way, are roughly the same people who created the Hippie movement and OD’d on drugs around the mid-seventies. The ones who didn’t, are still out and about waiting for a new round and for their younger soulmates to catch back on. The hippie movement died off because of this, and they are now getting ready for another round of crazy, so yeah there’s some truth to Indigo Children. They tend to find a way to have fun and that fun turns into a movement. Their spirituality should never be guided in a serious or restrictive manner… Not that you could, they’re grown ups now, if you differentiate between them and Crystal and Rainbow kids. HOWEVER, there’s something to be vary of.

An Infant Soul is very often mistaken for “angelic” or somehow divine. In fact, these are very immature, inexperienced souls who have NO EXPERIENCE in human lives, and this world, to them, is scary and confusing. Trying to teach an Infant Soul to become a fully skilled psychic could be very traumatic to them, because although they can see things, the events and emotions that they witness psychically are often far too complex and difficult for them to understand, and it can scare them to death! This is true even for an adult Infant Soul, who will never truly grow up. They should always be allowed to develop their psychic skills on their own, and truly just focus on teaching them manners and human social rules. The height of cruelty would be to make an Infant Soul a psychic criminal investigator.

The “Indigo” phenomena is real, but similarly to True Emotion Mirror theories, the why what and who is a bit lost in imagination. They are here to change the world, yes, but not because they are fulfilling a destiny set by someone else, but because they are who they are and are thusly incapable of living small… Apart from Infants (more later) who can’t live big, and shouldn’t be put under such demands. Also if your Indigo was an Infant Soul that amounted to… ehrm, nothing, you didn’t fail them a parent… It’s just that their special traits were mistaken to be of the same origin as the Ancients.

I did a bit of copy pasting here and added my own remarks, obviously, in brackets. This is copied from as it was on 18.2.2014 under claim of Fair Use. Normally I would have simply linked back, but I need to comment on each item on the list:

Common Characteristics between both an Indigo and Crystal child:

• Intense large eyes that are deep and penetrating – they are reflective and soul searching. (Probably a soul group characteristic.)
• Sensitive – sometimes to an extreme. (Depending what “sensitive” means, would rather put that as an Infant Soul characteristic.)
• Determined and focused – as children, they are not often interested in what others are doing. (Ancient Soul)
• Natural intuitives – they are good at determining lies vs. truth. (Infant or Ancient – but Infant will believe a lie told to them kindly, and Ancient will not buy a lie, but will easily believe someone who thinks they’re telling the  truth.)
• Strong sense of self – they have a clear purpose and will often know what they want to be from a very young age. (Ancient if goals are set intellectually high, Infant if goals are more hands on and practical.)
• Healers and teachers – not restricted to an occupation, simply their personality traits and method of communicating. (Soul group trait.)
• Extremely early or delayed speech – either extreme may occur in these children.  Early speech is attributed to their keen interest to begin spreading their ideas.  Whereas delayed speech is due to their telepathic abilities.  They do not have a need for words to communicate. (Fits both Infants and Ancients.)
• Loving, forgiving, empathetic, sympathetic – strong desire to help others. (Infants, although their help would not necessarily be needed or wanted. Also fits a Phase 4 Child Soul.)
• Affectionate – love to hug, kiss, cuddle, hold hands etc. (Infant 3, specifically, loves EVERYBODY who is kind to them. Ancients, if living with Actual Personality Mirrors, limiting their affection to their own people.)
• Picky eaters – they seem to know intuitively what foods improve their health and energy. (A young soul trait. Humans eat a lot more varied foods than most animal species, and naturally a soul that has lived animal lives before would be very suspicious.)
• Imaginative – creative play, imaginary friends (Both Infant and Ancient.)

Indigo Characteristics:

• Very bright and intelligent – (Ancient, definitely NOT an Infant trait.)
• Grounded and confident. (Ancient.)
• Fearless – excited, happy and adventurous. (Either or nighter – a character trait rather than these, with the difference that the Infant Soul might get hurt a lot while an Ancient would instinctively know what is really dangerous and what isn’t.)
• Highly intuitive and telepathic. (Either Ancient or Infant.)
• May be diagnosed with ADD/ADHD – school may be difficult socially. (Either Ancient or Infant, Ancient if learning at the same time in their own way, Infant if learning gets interrupted and slowed down through this behaviour.)
• Love nature – colours, textures, scents, elements etc. (Personality trait – individual / soulmate Group thing.)
• Strong willed – determined. (Infant. Ancient is much more malleable, but won’t do anything that offends their sensibilities.)
• Creative and artistic. (Depending on the definition either. Infant art is more ‘accidental’, Ancients like to aim towards a specific outcome with art.)
• Aware of a divine purpose for their life. (Ancient.)
• Addictive personalities – prone to addictions. (Soul Group + their Spirit Doubles trait. Depends on when born more than what they are. Also these are the hippies I mentioned earlier.)
• Old soul – which is apparent at a young age, they just seem older and wiser than their years. (Infants may appear like old souls, but aren’t obviously; Ancient trait.)
• They want to impact the world – this is a very deep rooted desire. (Ancient.)
• Independent and proud. (Ancient.)

Crystal Characteristics:

• Charismatic, charming personalities – even tempered. (Definitely an Ancient, unless you take a loving character as “charismatic” which to me is different.)
• Very affectionate toward loved ones, children and animals. (Infant.)
• Sensitive and empathetic toward the needs of others. (Infant or suchly aligned Ancient)
• Very active – as children especially. (Either, personality trait.)
• May be diagnosed with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. (Infant.)
• Love all types of music – responsive to it from a very young age. (Infant. Ancient souls have very distinctive taste from early on, or ability to spot ‘quality’.)
• Like to climb and explore – particularly in nature. (Autism trait; Infant)
• See spirits and angels – they will confidently describe who they’ve seen and be able to relay a clear message. (Either Infant or Ancient, more an Ancient, they can understand messages better.)
• Old souls – may remember past life experiences. (Ancient, obviously, but Infants are not here for the first time, either, may remember animal incarnations easily.)
• Very interested in rocks – crystal formations or just plain pebbles, they love and probably collect them all. (Character, as in a soulmate group trait – Ancient, if not autistic, in that case, Infant.)
• May exhibit healing abilities – for example; have the ability to perform Reiki from a very young age, without knowing exactly what it is. (Either, most likely Ancient.)

Rainbow Characteristics:

• First incarnation – therefore, they do not have any karma issues to address. (Infant, obviously)
• They are here to serve humanity. (Not if they’re in their first incarnation, the first incarnations are here to be taken care off, don’t put a grown person’s job on an infant soul inside an infant body! However, an animal who has an instinct of serving a human, such as horse, dog, cow etc, would probably feel this way. Dogs are VERY OFTEN born in human form and vice versa.)
• Quiet – but communicate telepathically (Either – telepathy isn’t THEIR trait, but the trait of soulmate Group – their parents and relatives are close soulmates who are able to pick this up. I’d be interested to know if this works with anyone at all, as in strangers.)
• Joyous, happy, easy going, patient, kind etc. (Infant more likely, Ancients can be a bit moody.)
• Angelic – pure love. (Phase 3 Infant.)

I believe that what has happened is that similarly to True Emotion Mirror theories, there’s several TYPES of people being lumped under the same heading. Not to say I wasn’t doing bit of the same, considering a lot of the times several Soul Age levels apply to one person, due to the fact we develop faster in other areas as as on another. Anyway, as one parent reports qualities A and B, B being common with a second child that also has trait C, these have gotten lumped up together due to the fact so few people study Soul Ages or Soulmate connections that explain all of this.

This is NOT to say the children weren’t amazing, just that you have to treat an Ancient Soul very differently to an Infant Soul, because the Ancient is a wise one, and the Infant an innocent one – both may appear the same at first, but they come from VERY DIFFERENT background indeed.
