Difference: Soulmate, True Emotion Mirror/Soul, Spirit Mirror, Essence Twin etc…
A theory is a person’s attempt to explain reality, right? A lot of people have made the attempt of explaining the phenomenon of true love and the sensation of feeling like you belong together and know each other at first meeting like soulmates. Each one of the theorists has decided to use a certain term for the phenomenon of amazing love; I personally call them True Emotion Mirrors.
A theory contains a person’s best (educated) guess to what caused the phenomena of true love, and this is where the differences between these words come in:
A True Emotion Mirror and a True Emotion Mirror
“The highest possible form of a soulmate connection.” The best educated guess in the True Emotion Mirror/Soul crowd’s corner is that at the beginning of time, a soul was split into two halves; a male and a female, and that these two halves will roam the Earth to find each other, to be allowed to meet each other only once in all of their incarnations on earth in their very last incarnation before ascending to the next plane of existence out off Earth.
The theorists describe the same exact feelings and events as the Personality Mirror Soulmate Typology but explain it very differently.
The theory supports a male-female monogamous counterparts only. (Many believers disagree with this view, but also accept monogamous gay couples but most supporters strongly reject the possibility of polygamousORpolygynandrous True Emotion Mirrors.)
A Twin Ray
“The highest possible form of a soulmate connection.” It is possible that people use this term interchangeably with a True Emotion Mirror and a True Emotion Mirror. The other explanations, I must admit, I haven’t fully understood myself.
The best description I’ve gathered is that the Twin Ray is the individual soul within a True Emotion Mirror that is ONE soul, and the Twin Ray’s are the core parts of each individual human… Or something.
Then, another explanation was something along the lines of it being the 12+1 fractures of one single half of a True Emotion Mirror, ie; Jesus was 1 and his 12 followers the 12 Twin Rays, making Mary Magdalene another 1+12 fractured Twin Ray. But… There you go. I guess first the men reunite, and then the women, and then the male-female combination is made..? I must say it was a bit confusing to me.
The Twin Ray is a part of the True Emotion Mirror theory or has been ‘forced’ to become a part of it to explain the existence of another term. I am quite confused about the whole Twin Ray thing myself as you can tell.
An Essence Twin
“The highest possible form of a soulmate connection” according to Michael Teachings. At least this one has a clear origin where the theory comes from and what umbrella theory the term belongs to. “Michael” is a soul cluster of some thousand plus souls who have finished their reincarnational cycles and are teaching through psychic channels on Earth.
The Essence Twin is said to be your highest match on Earth for the duration of one grand cycle, which would be approximately a thousand years long and no soul connection is “assigned” to you for further than one grand cycle. You seem to have no choice in the matter of who you fall for, the same as with the theory of True Emotion Mirrors that are pre-destined in another way.
The theory supports male-female energy counterparts. Each half, even if physically of the same gender, must carry a balancing male-female energy. Some True Emotion Mirror theorists also connect this idea to the True Emotion Mirror ideas to support the gay and lesbian connections.
An Androgyne
The theory of Androgynes has been often wrongly attributed to Plato in connections of describing “the first mention of True Emotion Mirrors”. Plato was hosting an event at which Aristophanes, who was the real author of the comedic view of love was speaking at. The comedian described feelings of love by creating a male-female (androgyne literally translates to “male-female”) an entity of 2 heads, two pairs of arms and legs, that was split by gods to be doomed to roam the Earth separate from oneself, only to fall in love when the two halves meet. It is likely that the theory of Aristophane’s comedy is the origin of the True Emotion Mirror theory.
Strictly supports Male-female counterparts only, but was never intended a serious theory anyway.
A Soulmate
The theory states no “highest possible” connection in itself. Your soulmate is a person with whom you have spent several lifetimes together, creating a familiar feeling and a sense of belonging with this person. There are several interpretations for the word soulmate; one belief is that the fact that you have spent lifetimes together doesn’t necessarily guarantee that this is a true love connection, but that there are other factors in play keeping you locked into a mutual reincarnation cycle. The other theory is the more layman-variation; the man on the street would call a soulmate their one true love, possibly meaning that in a reincarnational sense. Yet again, a person can use the word soulmate to refer to someone they feel affinity and compatibility for; someone who they truly connect with on all levels; A True Emotion Mirror*.
A True Emotion Mirror teacher refers to a soulmate with the meaning of a lesser connection to a True Emotion Mirror.
Of all the existing true love theories, I feel the soulmate theory the most accurate, albeit a vague one; the idea of being locked into a reincarnational cycle with several people, some of whom are your true loves, but the majority of which are not. My own theory, the Personality Mirror Soulmate Typology is very similar to this but goes further in defining the different soulmate types.
Depending on who you ask, the idea accepts monogamous love connections of both gay and straight in nature.
And finally; True Emotion Mirrors
After reading the above, you might understand why I decided to toss the books and websites out and start over. I needed to figure out for myself what was going on with my “True Emotion Mirror”… And the second one, because none of these theories seemed to match my reality. The theoretical difference between the above and the True Emotion Mirror is as follows:
The Free Spirit Theory, that is connected to the Personality Mirror Soulmate Typology, regards each soul to be a separate, free, independent soul, reincarnating through time in the pressures of other independent, free souls. Because all of us are free, we are also free to oppress each other, lock each other into karmic debts or release each other from it etc. etc. There are no rules, no destined partners or guarantees in love or life according to the Free Spirit Theory.
The Personality Mirror Soulmate Typology identifies SEVERAL different kinds of soulmate connections, one of them being the True Emotion Mirror, the highest possible soulmate connection known to us so far. It also identifies the different love ideals, such as the love between a parent and a child, and describes them all separately.
The Personality Mirror Soulmate Typology doesn’t support the idea of “a destiny” or a certain return to your highest soulmates. Instead, it believes we will WANT our highest lover to be with us, and we’ll always work towards getting back to them, but that doesn’t mean the road to them is easy, quite the opposite.
The theory also acknowledges that even after they have reached a full surrender, they are not immune to human conflicts, troubles, and things that will separate them…. for a while, at least. The number of incarnations of the True Emotion Mirrors will spend together is unlimited according to the Personality Mirror Soulmate Typology, and that they will be reuniting despite their level of spiritual understanding or “deservedness”. It supports the idea of demonic love as much as angelic love.
The Spirit Mirror theory also believes that all soulmate bonds can be undone, and some can simply disappear through lack of care and attention. It also supports the idea of gay and lesbian connections alongside polygamousORpolygynandrous connections, and it doesn’t rise one type of a connection over the other based on spiritual evolution like the other theories do. It states ALL types of people are worthy of love and all shades of spirituality and sexuality are equal in the eyes of anything that matters.
The Free Spirit Theory also removes the ideas of “god”, “angels”, “demons”, “sin”, etc, and states all spirits are equal and “gods” rise and fall like kings and rulers. Therefore, there is no real higher authority that dictates which two souls should stay together and which should not. All free spirits, gods included, are entitled to an opinion of course. 😉
