Sexual Love is not about Christian values or Obligation

Consider these sentences:

“You are not supposed to be attracted to that kind of a person.”

“You know that man/woman is entirely too good to be true. He/she’s a scam.”

“If you fall for that, you are much dumber than you have a permission to be!”

Who did you think about? What type of a person did you think about? Who are you convincing yourself to not be attracted to and why?

Are you focussed on a detail that actually doesn’t tell everything about this person? Are you, perhaps, making a shallow judgement on a person based on their looks because you want to prove to yourself that you are not shallow? Are you afraid of looking at them honestly, and connecting to their actual soul, because you are afraid that this person is, actually, the exact type of a person that you are helplessly drawn to and attracted in a way that makes your knees weak?

Are you afraid that this type of a person would have so much power on you, that you would be forever their slave?

What if that slavery would be the best thing that has ever happened to you?

What would happen if you would stop this kind of thinking and allow yourself to see the possibilities and feel the rush of… taking a risk again… Or aren’t you old enough yet?
