If you’ve got your wires crossed, try talking rubbish/the truth
There is no real indicator of who is going to tell you the truth about their feelings straight up, and who is going to “play” a little. The reasons for people playing are complex, among them the fear of rejection, so rather than say something directly, they say something along the lines or reverse their message entirely. ALL OF THIS is ripe for picking if problems are what you intend to grow.
No matter how I look at it, I see the truth is always the best policy, the whole truth, the open truth, the passionate truth, but sometimes it is necessary to flip the switch, just for a moment. I recommend only momentary switches, and only as a reaction to someone who is blatantly not telling the truth.
However, please note that even the slightest lie may spin the other half of a True Emotion Mirror pair into a full tailspin to lies.
My own story. He expected the truth. I said something along the lines of truth. He interpreted it as the opposite of what I meant. The next thing he told me was “I’m not interested”.
You hurt your True Emotion Mirror a little, by a half-truth that you expect him or her to interpret the way that it is, they’ll return it as a full-blown lie that will tear you apart – just like you, they are protecting themselves.
