Money. Are spiritual people allowed to rely on money?
To me, money is the most magical physical thing in existence. It can turn anything into almost anything else. It can turn a song into bread, and bread into a house. I do not understand why people have such a fucking problem with money and the need for money when it is truly just a tool that enables an easier transition between bread and a house! MONEY is NEVER the end goal, it is the magic dust that turns one thing to another thing. Just an “IOU” (I owe you) when both I and U can be anyone at all. It is an expression of gratitude, appreciation, and valuing someone else’s work and contribution to your own wellbeing. It is an acknowledgment of another person’s value.
WHY THE FUCK DO YOU PEOPLE HAVE AN ISSUE WITH IT?
It seems that everything that is DIFFICULT for some people to get becomes “a sin” to have/want
Money, sex, influence, good looks, whatever. When something seems out of reach or too much trouble for some, they decide others shouldn’t have it either. It’s envy, a sin, if you want to go all Christian about it. If you have it, you must give it to me, right?
And if money was such a bad thing, why would I give it to someone who is free of it, huh? Isn’t it best only one of us goes to Hell for having it and wanting it?
I’m personally willing to risk it, but then, I don’t believe Hell exists unless we create it for ourselves.
Chasing money should be a fun game
Money is a game. Once you have everything you need to live, money is nothing more than a game. EVERYBODY should have every right to worry about where their next meal comes from. Fear for one’s survival is an animal instinct, and we should have every right to function from our instinct to survive.
However, once you have secured your basic survival, everything else after that is a game. It SHOULD BE a game. But if you still think money or having money beyond the point of comfort is “a must” because OTHERS have it, you’ve got some psycho-spiritual work to do. What OTHERS have should never be your motivation to WHAT YOU WANT and work for… Or more importantly, if you don’t want to chase money, don’t. That’s your business, but if others want to chase money, let them. It’s fun for them, and whatever entertains you, is right by the fabric of the Universe.
If you can’t seem to be able to control your urge to try and be like everybody else, to the point that you will have to cut others down in order to be able to compete with them, then you’ve got issues, but WANTING MONEY (to afford fun things) in itself is not an issue.
