Why the Savants* are not impressed by your “secrets”

the Savants* are pretty open people among other the Savants*. They share their innermost thoughts and feelings with anyone who seems interested in them. What, to the Normal Person*, is a deep heart-to-heart, to a Savants* is a casual conversation they won’t remember in a week’s time in any great detail. This is why the Savants* often find themselves to be considered someone else’s nearest and dearest friend, when they, themselves feel they haven’t even scratched the surface yet.

the Savants* are not judgmental in the sense of how well you’re doing in life, or how sexually adventurous you are. In fact, they are more likely to be BORED with what is the Normal Person*’s idea of a “juicy secret” than in any way flattered you’d share that with them. In fact, they wouldn’t feel too impressed about you sharing a secret with them unless it was enough to put you in jail for life… Or at least for a very long time. Other than that, they don’t care what you confess. They only want to know if your way of thinking is compatible with theirs, and if not, they move on.

the Savants* NEED these conversations to bond… But differently to the Normal Person*

the Savants* enjoy these conversations, yes, and have them frequently with other the Savants*. They are NOT a big deal to them, at all, but having said that, without them, they feel like they don’t even know a person. They will consider you a distant or casual friend for as long as you don’t seem to be opening up to them about your truthful thoughts. And even when you DO share that stuff, they’ll still go through that evaluation of whether your deepest and darkest thoughts are entertaining enough for them. They are NOT ashamed of being a human and having human feelings, fetishes, fears, and concerns, but they would be ashamed of having sat on some lame secret for months as if it was SCANDALOUS only to be met with a “what are you holding shit like that for a secret for?! Here I was thinking it was something worth getting worked up over!”

the Normal Person* use secrets like engagement rings

the Savants* do love secrets, yes, but in an entirely different way than the Normal Person* do. The Normal Person* love secrets because they think they are something to BOND WITH, as in stuff you know about the other person with the assumption they’d be MORTIFIED if others would find out. Therefore, they feel a secret they know about you is something that is GIVEN TO THEM as a type of engagement ring… Now that you know this about me, you can keep me… But a Savants* won’t have that kind of secret. EVERYBODY knows their stuff, and more than likely, they have a blog or a YouTube account on which they share their personal thoughts with anyone willing to listen without an ounce of fear.

the Normal Person* think a Savants* is brave to share these things.

When a Savants*, without thinking, shares “their secrets” with the Normal Person*, the Normal Person* thinks the Savants* is WORKING HARD to impress him or her, because to the Normal Person*, sharing or even having a secret is TERRIFYING. They feel all of their secrets can be used against them to alienate them from society completely, and they are only hanging on by a thread to the permission to be a part of a community.

So when a Savants* boldly talks about them, their lives, their flaws, and failures, a Savants* thinks “OMG they must REALLY hold some secret power if they can admit to this and still be allowed to be a part of the civilized society, OMG…” An Savant* will see this similarly to muscle-flexing. In addition, they see it as “you’re trying to IMPRESS ME”, or that the Savants* is SUPER SERIOUS about friendship (read: alliance) with them, and they’re just showing how BOLD they are in their action to emphasize their value to the Normal Person*.

In the meanwhile, a Savants* be like: “What secret? I haven’t told you any secrets? EVERYBODY knows that! Have you read my blog?”
