Why does the Normal Person* think you’re in love with them or flirting with them when you truly are not.

the Normal Person* have a bizarre way of thinking. They think that kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness are all signs of trying to unite and be one with them. They think that every compliment, everything that is nice or the right thing to do by another, is like an application fee or a demand for a close relationship, even a love affair. If Johnny Depp had sent roses to every cast member in the crew of Rhum Diary to thank them for the job well done, Amber Heard would have taken that as a personal invitation to become Johnny Depp’s secret lover, whether he intended it as such at all or not – regardless of what the attached card said. They read FAR TOO MUCH into kind gestures, charity, and even everyday politeness. FAR too much. They STUFF lines with “real meanings,” and they never take anything for what is said right on the “lines” of text/speech. If they like or admire you, they think a kind gesture is a proposal for a friendship, a closer familiar union, or a love affair, and if they don’t like you, they think any gesture is some kind of a trap, a ruse, or “bitching” between the lines. They also have trouble taking an insult as an insult, but they think it’s something else again – they are somewhat impossible to communicate with.

The reason? They’re never kind to anybody without wanting something out of it. They’re never mean to anybody without wanting to make friends with them. They’re never upset with anybody unless they’re being rejected or not being taken care of – often, this is one and the same thing for them. They interpret all emotion as a cry for love and care or as need for love and care and unity.

Therefore, if you’re kind or show ANY kind of attention to a dog-type, they’ll interpret that as a wish to unite your lives into one, in whatever role is most likely; family (inlaws to the bride or groom to be), friends, or lovers.
