Transitioning a body doesn’t make a CIS-gendered person trans. It’ll just reverse the original problem.

Now. A phobia is an irrational fear of something—a form of insanity. While most people’s fear of the trans movement is quite rational, the current fear and bigotry toward CIS-gendered straight people aren’t quite as.

What kids don’t necessarily understand:

  • Taking hormones won’t grow you a penis or a vagina, even if you start them really early on.
  • There is no safe way for a trans-person to transition genders fully. There is NO way a CIS-gendered person can transition into a different gender successfully. If you have ever once called yourself by your birth gender word (boy or a girl) at any age, you’re CIS-gendered enough to keep doing it for the rest of your life.
  • Transitioning does not make you TRANS; it makes your body trans, and you’ll wind up “in the wrong body” the same way real trans people feel with their natural bodies.
  • Childhood is marked by make-believe and “everything is possible” -thinking. This is not a time to make a very real costume out of one’s own body for a game of play-pretend.
  • Teenage is marked by high hormonal fluctuations, a need to fit in, and a desire to follow the flock. This is not a time to make decisions about one’s body. Just change your clothes and hair if you must.
  • You can only have one transition surgery, and the body parts that are put in won’t be as good as the ones natural people have. You will also never be able to change your chromosomes, and you can always be “found out” to be your original gender.
  • The danger here is not that trans people transition. The danger is that CIS-gendered people transition to avoid negative labels attached to being CIS and transition to become one of “the good people” again.
  • a CIS-phobia is going on; there is bigotry toward straight CIS people. If you want a victim identity, take that, and if you happen to be white, add that to your list of being a target of gender- and race-based hatred.
  • Notice that transpeople are trying hard to pass for a CIS-gendered person. If you already are one, count your lucky stars.
