A Guide’s Code of Conduct
This guide should serve as a guideline to all guides, life coaches and spirit guides included. We might be called to do spirit guiding to people we know well or people who we know nothing about, and even though you won’t be consciously aware of this responsibility you’ve been given, you would be wise to read the guidelines just in case someone needs you.
A guide is someone who is asked to give a person insight or direction towards a goal.
1. You will never take this job if you harbour resentment towards the person in question. You may only take this job if you feel either complete neutrality towards them or complete unconditional love. Any resentment, even if you love them to death is a disqualifying emotion.
2. A guide is always hired to lead a person to the goal they themselves set or to help them to identify that goal. You are not allowed to set the goal for them or guide them towards another goal that you think is better for them.
3. You must leave their presence in a situation where you know you wouldn’t be welcome in body unless you were specially invited to the situation. This means: You respect their privacy during bathroom times and most definitely during sexual activity (unless otherwise instructed by your ‘client’).
4. Remember there is a difference between a tormentor and a guide, pushing your client towards their goal is sometimes necessary, but only a tormentor does it with ill will.
5. You should remove yourself from the situation if and when you start feeling resentful.
6. You earn trust, you don’t demand trust.
7. For Spirit Guides: You are not smarter than they are just because you are not there in body.
8. Always take a back seat if there is an OBVIOUS True Mirror amongst a person’s guides.
