A perfect example of how psychology interprets the Cat Type Thinkers and the Dog Type Thinker thinking -patterns

The the Dog Type Thinker and the Cat Type Thinkers thinking -differentiations are my own theory and not yet understood by general psychology. A recent study shows, apparently, that people who prefer to stay friends with their exes are psychopaths and narcissists. Now, there are so many things wrong in that sentence I cannot even begin to unravel it all, but let’s try.

The the Dog Type Thinker (commitment seekers) have an on-off switch when it comes to their relationships. They are either full-on in them or they’re completely out of them. This creates a black and white setting for all of their relationships, and they do not comprehend a situation where you can be friends with someone with who you have previously had a deeper relationship with.

When a person like this remains friends with a person who has got shades of gray in there, they are continually trying to either end the relationship constantly or to bring it back to what it used to be – there are no gray areas for them. When this happens, the “narcissist” continually gets signals to either “come over” or “go away” as in, their ex is either picking a fight or trying to become a girlfriend or boyfriend again, leaving the assumed narcissists into an awkward position of trying to manage this situation the best they can. There is nothing as confusing to the Dog Type Thinker as boundaries.

It may take a long time before a Cat Type Thinkers finally puts an end to the relationship because they feel it is completely immature of a person to not be able to maintain a friendship after a love-relationship, especially if this relationship was a meaningful one, which means that even though it didn’t work as a love relationship, it would be a shame to waste the friendship as well. They feel that grown-ups should be mature enough to maintain a friendship afterward, and thrive to it, but they find it impossible to do this with the Dog Type Thinker, in the study “the normal person” who finds it impossible to regard an ex-lover as just a friend.

Psychology is a tricky thing, where depending on which thinker type the psychologist is, they will interpret the actions of the opposite type as pathology. Whenever I read a psychological description of any issue, I can tell whether a Cat Type Thinkers or the Dog Type Thinker wrote it of the opposite thinker type. Even the definition of a Narcissist varies based on which thinker type wrote the description of the same condition.
