Accepting a person and white lying your way out of being accepted as a member.

There is two ways to think of “accepting someone.” One is to accept them as one of us, and the other is to accept them to be whatever they are – including, but not limited to, NOT (really) one of us. Acceptance means the ability to see the actual truth and then adapt to it; to accept it as the truth of it all.

the Survivalist* always try to accept someone by making them a part of the group, and this often leads to brutal attempts to make a Idealists* conform to the group’s ideals. Failing that, they may try to adapt to the Idealists* instead, but this would just irritate any the Idealists*. The Idealists* may have to express themselves better: “You have to accept I’m not really one of you, am I? I have to accept it as well.” The latter sentence is a bit of a lie because a Idealists* has no difficulty accepting it, but it’s one of those white lies that work quite well with the Survivalist*. Just never again white lie to the Survivalist* to keep them in your circle of friends, white lie to them to find a way out without hurting their feelings too much. The Survivalist* thinkers, unlike the Idealists* thinkers, don’t like reality too much, so it’s a kindness to paint it in a way that looks nice and pastel to them but making sure you still get what you want out of that lie rather than tie yourself to them further like we often accidentally do: “Oh, you look beautiful.” Rather: “Oh, we should take photos for your dating profile! Do you have a dating profile?”

Think of the Survivalist* as a club you’re invited to but don’t want to join. You have to find a white lie to get out of it.

As far as the Survivalist* go, it is the hardest thing for the Survivalist* to accept that there is a person they don’t quite like the way they are but who they’re willing to coach to perfection, who wouldn’t want to be a member of their circles even if they were accepted. It is hard for the Survivalist* to accept it in themselves; not everyone thinks the Survivalist* are the Gold Standard. It’s an ego-problem.

the Idealists* are well aware of that but should become more adapted in dodging the Survivalist* ego… And accept, on their part, that there are people they cannot enlighten. (Kinda the same…)
