Balance your (friends) Positive and Negative pole to find their sum

This post is probably the hardest post to understand that I’ve written and should be considered the final exam of the Master class. ๐Ÿ˜€ As such, relax into it and allow your intuition guide you freely. You’ll need all your meditative and intuitive skills of this. This is genuinely difficult so don’t worry if you change your mind a million times! ๐Ÿ˜€ To me it seems easier to type someone who I know well rather than myself.

Most personality studies involve picking a box you fit into, and for the large part they are interesting and helpful, but what if I told you that you possess an unique set of traits that makes you truly you. Also, there is a set of traits that will set you apart from everyone around you, and make you precisely the person (or the animal) this world needs in it’s heightened state. There are others who share your general traits of course, but we all combine them so uniquely that it is hard to place anyone into a box, and we shouldn’t. I will have to make examples of what we are looking for, and note that we ALL have these traits, but we believe that we carry one specific set of traits that is unique to us as it is our inborn ability. When we meet our soulmates, we start growing their abilities within ourselves; mirror them, because we love these traits in them, but in essence you have something about you that is uniquely yours by nature. (When you start to feel your way into these traits, allow multiple combinations for each person until one hits you in the head as “THAT’S IT!”)

The way this works is that your essence has two poles, the negative and the positive, but what you can see is that qualities that we deem positive are not necessarily positive traits in this regard. (Nothing is wrong in it’s right place.) The negative and positive pole align into something fruitful, without one you cannot have the powerful combination. Pay due attention to nuances. “Wisdom” and “Understanding” are a good example. Both drive towards the same goal with different motivations. Also, the negative trait must be such that it has a positive application. Fear is a good example of a negative trait with a positive application – it keeps you out of danger. “Bitterness” is a trait that is always a symptom, not a trait, and cannot be applied as a negative essence trait.

You can also lean too much to the positive pole, leaving you vulnerable for others to abuse you or for the world to lead you in trouble. ie. Curiosity killed the cat. Although curiosity is a positive trait, essential to learning and evolution, without the negative anchor it can spiral out of control. The positive trait is the drive, the negative is the break (anchor, controller), balance of both is a propeller for something positive.

As a group, the soulmates are each other’s motors, their qualities complement each other, and together they facilitate change and opportunity. They make the world a better place when everyone works from their balance. When in their negative poles, disharmony is imminent, and the motors explode.

These qualities are often defined as adjectives but I use them as nouns. We ARE this trait. It is as if we were a physical example of a spiritual concept. Since we are unique, it is best to give you examples of what this is. To find yours, you need a moment in contemplation. You’ll probably find a few possible combinations, play around and see what really strikes a chord with you, and don’t be afraid of your negative pole, it is essential to your greatness. I’ll give you examples ofย  my own soulmates (of all sorts) that I found easier to type than myself:

In his positive pole my soulmate, RB, is Compassion. In his negative pole he is Disrespect. Combined, he amounts to Revolution. (He fights authority where authority is treading on the rights of the fellow human beings.)

In his positive pole my soulmate, ST, is Exuberance (sound). In his negative pole he is Fury. Combined, he is Mischief, one that is always furiously looking for fun, even through anger! His counterpart,

my soulmate, JP, in his positive pole is Modesty (silence). In his negative pole, he is Anger. Combined, he is Pride. This combination seems unlikely, but he takes pride in modesty, and drives toward it with anger. Any push toward Exuberance (his counterpart) will throw him into Anger – for he needs to protect Modesty (silence).

In his positive pole my soulmate, JD, is Wisdom. In his negative pole, he is Humility. Combined, he is Harmony. (He needs to understand people in order to create harmony. This is an interesting balance between us, because I need to understand people in order to rock people’s boats a bit, creating disharmony in order to create growth and facilitate understanding in people. In other words, I rip up old wounds, he makes them heal. :D)

In his positive pole my soulmate, TV, is Explorer. In his negative pole, he is Rejection. Combined, he is Reason. (His highest calling is to find the truth, but his negative pole, rejection tends to force him into rejecting the truth that doesn’t fit with Reason before he should have. Balanced rejection works in the process of elimination, by rejecting the untrue or unnecessary.)

In his positive pole my soulmate, NB, is Light. In his negative pole, he fears the unknown and dark. Combined, he is Illumination. He fights the darkness by bringing issues out in the open by pointing them out “seeing in the darkness” and making sense out of things people don’t care to look at. He brings skeletons out from the closet, and lifts rugs off things that were covered. In his fear of dark he resorts to doctrine and superstition to cope with the world.

In his positive pole my soulmate, MJ, is Sensuality. In his negative pole, he is Precision (nitpicker). Combined, he is Experience. (Precision can create obsession that excludes everything else. When he works from negative pole alone, his precision turns into an all-consuming obsession. When the focus sifts to more balanced focus, he is able to Experience everything through all of his senses, at a depth that most people can only dream about.)

In his positive pole my soulmate, MM, is Joy. In his negative pole, he is Disobedience. Combined, he is Justice… He disobeys the authority (rebels, rocks the boat) in order to bring joy to other people – and himself. Without Joy, he becomes anti-social, without disobedience he becomes a half-wit!

In his positive pole my soulmate, BP, is Desire. In his negative pole, he is Void. Combined, he is Progress. Without a Void, he will become stale and unchanging, without Desire he becomes depressed. Putting those together, he will stop at nothing to bring better things and ideas to himself and those he cares for. (Desire does not limit himself to the material or sexual, he has lust for life.)

In his positive pole my soulmate, SP, is Beauty. In his negative pole, he is Doctrine. Combined, he is Nobility. (When without his negative pole, he can be shallow and hedonistic, when working from negative alone, he follows rules without knowing why. Combined, he finds the Grace that is nobility, and works in balance between strict ideals and appreciation of life’s true beauty.)

In her positive pole my soulmate, RA, is Care. In her negative pole, she is Control. Combined, she is Facilitator. (She makes everything possible! As my counterpart, she is the practice to my idea. Working from the positive pole alone, she gives too much and works herself into the ground, when working from negative alone she easily becomes obsessive compulsive. Combined, she can achieve anything to her highest ability.)

In her positive pole my soulmate, HL is Compassion. In her negative pole, she is Intolerance. Combined, she is Protector. (When working through her negative pole, she works entirely through intolerance, protecting people from everything that is ‘dangerous’. When balanced with compassion, she can see where protection is needed as she can be compassionate towards the people she’d otherwise deem a danger.)

In her positive pole my soulmate, HR, is Bravery. In her negative pole, she is Fear. Combined, she is Defender. (She currently works nearly exclusively from Fear. When her fear interferes with things, those who she defends will feel obstructed because instead of bravely paving the way, she’s shutting down gates out of fear. When she works without fear, and all from bravery, she becomes foolhardy in her actions and becomes a danger to herself and others.)

In his positive pole my soulmate, IR, is Fun. In his negative pole, he is Consideration. Combined, he is Contagious Feel Good Factor. XD (I can’t even find words for him. He just makes his Fun catching, he just knows how to make people feel good about themselves with one glance! When working entirely through Consideration, he shoots himself in the foot and lets people run him over, and thus making his efforts of making people feel good about themselves stifled if not wasted.)

In her positive pole my soulmate, PR, is Joy. In her negative pole, she is Obedience. Combined, she is High Priestess. Without Obedience, she would run wild and out of control, being danger to herself and others, but working completely from Obedience, she loses joy and becomes a servant. Combined, her obedience comes from within serving a higher cause that she finds joy in.

In her positive pole my soulmate, KJ, is Tolerance. In her negative pole, she is Intolerance. Combined, she is Justice. She should be the tarot card, Justice, really! She is the only one who’s negative and positive poles seem to be obviously each other’s opposites; she is tolerant to anything that balances her scales, and intolerant to anything that tips the balance out of whack! Ironically, when I talk about her, I tell people that “she is the most balanced person I know” despite her profession that suggests otherwise.

In his positive pole my soulmate, BY, is Triumph. In his negative pole, he is Oppression. Combined, he is Leader (Visionary). Oppression works funny with him. He may apply it to others, stifling mutiny in best of cases, in worst cases asserting his own will over people. In best of cases Oppression controls negative forces in his troops, and himself, but his wish for Triumph may blind him and he can become a ‘climber’, who will take advantage of friendship and trust. His Oppression equally strong to his wish to Triumph and he can reign himself in as effortlessly as others. In his balanced mode, he is a solid, trusted and respected Leader.

Tell me, what is your Essence Triangle? Remember these were simply examples, find your own defining qualities freely. This is somewhat difficult exercise, but since it’s supposed to be unique, I can’t help you with multiple choice questions on this one!
