Definition of respect

Tick the correct definition of respect. (Some of these are wrong, but how some people understand the word.)

• Do not say mean things about me even when they are true. (As in: Do not put me face-to-face with the white lies I’ve told myself about myself and what is told about me. Do not threaten my false ego.)
• Expect me to be able to take care of myself, handle the truth, and speak for myself. Take my word to mean what I say and trust me to not tell lies.
• Expect me not to be able to speak for myself, and assume you know I don’t want sex with men. Don’t make me say it out loud and protect me from heterosexual sex at all cost.
• Allow me to live my life freely as I choose, without threatening me, being verbally abusive, or harassing me.
• Do not exclude me from your personal circle of friends or as your lover if I want to be your friend or your lover because you’re not better than I am.
