Definitions of self-respect.
Tick the right answers. (Some are wrong.)
- I hold myself to a standard that I am proud of and won’t allow anyone to drag me down from without a very good reason.
- I will not allow others to violate myself, my rights, or my values within reason.
- I will make sure others kneel before me.
- I won’t allow myself to be rejected from love, company, or a job under any circumstance.
- If I am rejected, I recognize my own worth and value, and understand love is a matter of personal preference and taste, not a matter of “being good enough” or “deserving”.
- I would never demand the company of people who don’t want me in their midst. They are not worthy of my company.
- I won’t have premarital sex. (Kinda goes with the personal standard, but…)
- I will inform people of their misconceptions of myself or my demographic.
- I will not let people’s misconceptions of myself or my demographic affect my sense of self-worth.
- I do not accept that there is more than one way of being “the right kind of person” if my parents taught me to be specifically like this.
