Do not PUSH people ahead of themselves when you give them guidance

They will lose weight when it’s time. They will “be alone for a while” when it’s time. They’ll give up on their unrequited love when it’s time. They will return to their family when it’s time. They’ll want to get married and have children when it’s time – and you do not get to tell another person when “their time” is, and it has nothing to do with biological age or some external expectation they need to fill.

Nothing authentic will ever happen by force.

Remember that if you call yourself a guide or a coach of any kind. Your job is to give people information on what’s happening or how to do things, not WHEN to do it. Draw a map, but don’t force them to use it, let alone insist they’re at the red dot simply because the map has a red dot on it. Nobody walks uphill until they come to the hill.
