Don’t confuse the state of surrender with the state of submission.

There is a phase that Twin Flame theorists call the “state of surrender,” which is a True Emotion Mirror thing, too. The point when you surrender to the realization that you have, in fact, fallen in love permanently and that there is no fighting your own feelings of love and unity with this person. You simply recognize that “OK, I’m done looking. I’ve found the man/woman I’m going to love for the rest of my life (whether they want me or not, even).”

This is a very different thing to a state of submission of a Main Trap Relationship: “Fine. I can’t get away from this bitch/dick. I might as well let them have their way and get what they fucking want. Maybe it won’t be that bad. Maybe this is as good as it’ll ever get – maybe what I wanted was a fantasy anyway. Whatever. I’m done anyway.” The state of submission may also be general: “Fine, I can’t find what I’m looking for, so whatever. Just get me out of the dating pool.” Two weeks later, you meet someone and marry them, but that won’t be a True Emotion Mirror.
