Don’t ever warn a grown man from misbehaving before an event – he’s not your child.

I’m only going to say this once because if you don’t remember this from now on, you don’t deserve yourself a real man. If you treat a man like a little boy who doesn’t know his manners, you rob him of the chance to impress you with his manners.

Imagine this scenario: You leave for an event of some description and tell your man to behave himself, but he’s an actual gentleman. He’s never misbehaved in his life. You’ve always told him to behave but simultaneously robbed him of the chance of being a gentleman and reduced him to an obedient little boy. YOU just acted like a mother, not like a lady worthy of the company of the said gentleman.

Don’t do that again.

Also, don’t treat your romantic partner like your son. Two different things.
