Give up trying to control your destiny through means you cannot control.
You remember the serenity prayer, first written by Reinhold Niebuhr?
“O God and Heavenly Father,
grant to us the serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed,
courage to change that which can be changed,
and wisdom to know the one from the other
through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.”
You know I am not a Christian anymore, but that prayer is right on what I’m about to talk about.
Trying to control the uncontrollable.
No matter how serene you are, no matter how well attuned with the spirit you are, you may at times try and control the uncontrollable. In the light of what I most love to talk about, True Emotion Mirrors, it becomes very relevant when you know your True Emotion Mirror in spirit only, in telepathic conversations. You feel like they’re right there, why can’t we just agree to meet and be together? It sounds like such fun!
But the reason it sounds like fun is that it’s not doable. And if it were, it would stop being fun and turn into something mundane and boring. The beauty of True Emotion Mirror relationships is that they are always synced with the divine timing. They won’t happen until you’re ready. What makes you ready is individual. It depends on YOUR goals. Your need to grow, your mutual ability to HANDLE what it was you wanted to do in this particular lifetime of yours.
Remember the Tarot card Chariot?
In it, you see a chariot and a driver without reigns. You’ll also notice the wheels are not touching the ground and that the animals don’t have a harness, but the point being, this thing ain’t moving. However, it urges you to stop trying to control what you cannot control. This thing won’t move with the power of your will. You’ll have to try something else.
You can control the effort you put in, not WHEN the Universe is going to reward you for it.
While I urge you to get to work and to sort your life out for yourself, there are truly things you can AND MUST control, and then, there are things you CANNOT and should not control. Basically, what you can control is the work you put into things, and what you cannot control is the reward of the work you’ve put in. A lot of us want the reward before the work. THAT is what we try to control: “Give me my trophy, I’ve earned it.”
The work you do for the world and the Universe is not something you set the price for yourself. It is priced fairly, and it is priced as per your capacities. You cannot dictate what is fair. It has already been set.
There’s a reason it’s tempting, the price. The reason is, that it’ll be the carrot and the whip on the chariot that is pulled by your effort, not by gods you wish to control.
