How people use secrets to create friends?

Everyone has secrets, but some people have public secrets. We all allow our most intimate thoughts to come out and play with our most trusted people. It may come as a surprise to many, that not all people share their secrets with family and “friends”. It will come as a surprise to the other type, that there are people who would NEVER share their secrets with family. To a lot of people, keeping one’s secrets from family is simply a mode of discretion, the attempt of not offend anyone by one’s own private life. To some, the idea that a person has a private life outside family sounds bizarre, and even sick, but there are people who don’t automatically link trust with family.

Secrets just to be interesting

There are people who keep secrets just to be interesting. Others keep secrets to not offend anyone. Still, revealing secrets and intimate details of one’s life is a bonding mechanism. People who share their ‘secrets’ easily bond loser than others, and they can drop their ‘secrets’ where they left them as to them sharing secrets is not that big of a deal, at all.
