How to balance Structure and Free Flow?

Many people when they become spiritual, they kind of lose control a little. They start following every possible shiny (spiritual) thing and whim and might get diagnosed as bipolar. Spiritual people are somewhat allergic to control and structure and feel that “authentic” is this free-flowing… Chaos, really. However, our need to create structures and rules and discipline come from a true need for it, but it must come FROM YOU.

You must create rules to fit you, and then stick with them

When you are spiraling out of control and finding yourself unable to finish tasks and projects, you must figure out what kind of structure you both need and can live with and even love. However, while you struggle to do this, try not to feel desperate or hopeless. Every time you try something, you also learn something. The day will come when that lesson will come in handy.

I am personally not great at establishing routines – there was a time when I was very good at some of it, but then… I kind of fell apart due to spiritual awakening. Now, I just have loose ends… Plenty of them. Yesterday, I wrote this. However, I am POSITIVE that I’ll find my way. If I will eventually manage to create some routine-building method that is universally adaptable, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, be safe in the knowledge that YOU can decide what is important and what isn’t.

Getting up at the crack of dawn is not important.

Just saying.

Today, I feel like this, tomorrow, who knows?

There are people who will always work from ONE feeling from the day they become self-aware to the day they die. However, for the rest of us, our MOODS change. And they change on a daily basis. Today, I feel like blogging, tomorrow, I’ll be building 3D scenes. While that doesn’t matter much, it MATTERS when you try and make a living out of some of it, and you have 0 consistency.

If your spirit guides are trying to wait for you to make up your mind about what you want to do in life, and you know you don’t know, make a conscious decision to a) do it all, and b) factor your predictable mood changes into your plan. For instance, you know you have a) b) c) on your tasks list. Maybe you can see a pattern as to how often you return to what project naturally. Maybe you can time the cycles, and match your projects that way, I don’t know.

Maybe using your CALENDAR as a diary rather than a forward-planning tool will help. Keep some track for a while what it was that you worked on, and review it to check you didn’t FORGET great ideas just as you moved on to another one. Notice the things you are drawn to do over and over and over, whether they are your ultimate goal or not.

I will try that myself and see how it works.
