If you think she/he might be too good for you, it’s because you actually value who they are.

I always shudder when people talk about their intended romantic partner with the attitude of “Well they SHOULD feel happy to have me. I mean, it’s not like they’re special in any way.” No. Your partners and friends SHOULD feel special to you. They SHOULD feel like you’d be lucky to have them in your life, maybe even beating slightly above your own weight. If they’re into you, that’s all you need to worry about in terms of being “good enough.” Let them decide.
