Is your True Emotion Mirror “insecure” to you? Are you projecting?
While I do want to remind you that people are not necessarily quite as confident as they seem – namely those who do hide it well – visible insecurity is probably not… Insecurity is a state of a person who knows he or she doesn’t NEED TO BE self-confident all the time. Someone whose parents have not punished them for any sign of fear or insecurity, treating it like a disease.
I wouldn’t be talking about another person’s insecurity with a dismissive, condescending tone. THAT, to me, shows insecurity in the speaker: the need to pass the blame on another person. Insecurity in another person is understandable. Nobody is super confident ALL THE TIME, especially not in regards to their True Emotion Mirror, who will shake the foundations of even the most self-assured people.
If you find your True Emotion Mirror insecure about you – take it as a compliment and treat it with understanding, that it is you who causes it. Learn to make them feel relaxed and welcome – easier said than done of course, as you’ll likely not be entirely self-assured in that situation, either. Just know they, too, might be confused, uncertain, scared to do or say the wrong thing…
