It’s not so much they don’t want to answer your question, but they don’t understand the question.

Sometimes, it’s best to ask a question directly if you don’t seem to get an answer hinting to it. People often employ indirect ways to pose a question, but that question might go completely unnoticed if the other person is not aware of the question. If you’re not getting an answer beating around the bush, ask.

I have to say tho, a direct question gets a direct answer. Sometimes the person IS aware of the question but knows the answer is not what you want to hear. Don’t leave on that assumption if the answer means a lot to you.
