Keeping the faith is building it on reality.
To have strong faith, you have to build it on what you can confirm to be a fact or observable to yourself. You shouldn’t feel compelled to decide to believe something that you have no proof of. Blind faith is for the foolish. An intellectual person builds faith on belief, belief in facts, evidence, personal observation, logical conclusions, and knowledge. You can’t KNOW EVERYTHING, you don’t have the information you need to know everything to be a fact or not to be, and that’s when you need belief (more based on fact) and faith (mostly based on instinct and gut feeling.) Not one of those things should be based on blind trust that everything is fine. You can trust that everything is and will be fine, yes, but on what grounds? Why do you believe that?
You will get everything you want 100% of the time. Delivery times and methods vary – which means that you WILL, over time, get what you want if you want it bad enough. It doesn’t say you’ll get it for free or that you “just have to believe it.” No. You don’t have to believe it; in fact, belief will pacify you. You’ll surely trust the Universe to fix it all for you. It won’t. It will GUIDE YOU, but you’ll still have to walk the walk, talk the talk, and do the work yourself. You’ll still have to grow to get to what you want. You still have to EVOLVE.
To have a healthy faith, you have to let go of blind faith.
One of the hardest things is to let go of blind faith if you’ve relied on it for a long time. “I will get it.” Yeah, sometimes you will get a facsimile of what you want by simply insisting on people to pretend they’ve given it to you. Then you have to rely on blind faith to convince yourself that what you have is actually the thing you want. If you want the real thing for a change, you’ve got to stop nagging and start working.
We all want our reality to be real and trustworthy. Therefore, the one thing that we all want, deep down, is that what we have is real. How real our reality is depends entirely on other people and their willingness to tell you the ugly truth about their own feelings toward you sometimes. To tell people white lies is to cover them up in lies and false faith.
Still, even if you lie to others, don’t lie to yourself. You’ll deceive yourself into believing in fairy tales. That’s dumb. No, if there’s one person you should be able to tell you the truth at all times, it’s you. Sometimes, the truth is that you don’t know what the truth is. Then, you’ll just have to go with your gut feeling, instinct, and yes, occasionally, as rarely as you can possibly do it; faith. Faith is for emergencies only. (The emergency sometimes lasts for decades, but don’t rely on it unless you have no better option and nothing to lose and everything to gain, more or less.)
Base your faith on truth, reality, facts – then you can afford faith.
Faith should never be preferred to the truth that contradicts it. However, spirit is tricky. It always gives you a physical explanation to something that got started in spirit. You dream it, and it will follow, basically – is my experience if it; you don’t have to believe it for it to be so, you have to test the theory. Figure out what it is that you truly want and then see how long it takes for it to manifest. Are you blocking it with a contradicting dream, such as “I don’t want this to be true.” For instance, wishing yourself to be a better wife or a husband may not be an authentic wish. Don’t deceive yourself in such ways.
Examine the spiritual universe, and you’ll find it to be flawless. You don’t have to believe in the truth for the truth to exist. It doesn’t give a fuck about your faith or belief systems, it doesn’t need them in order to keep on being. Your idea of reality must adjust to match reality, the reality won’t adjust to your idea of it – that’s a promise.
