List of many possible spiritual goals

Currently, spirituality often refers to New Age goal of finding light and happiness through distancing oneself from physicality. Another popular goal is to rid oneself from the ego, sadly misunderstood idea in many circles, aiming to a realization that you are not really you and instead you are one with everyone else; You are me, I am you. However, spirituality can serve in a way that truly works wonders for self-actualization, finding one’s authentic self, one’s true strengths and freedom, and one’s true, individual identity. Spirituality can serve towards finding incredible wealth and success in business or in politics, in a way that truly serves humanity, your customers, your fans, your voters, your country, and yourself, too, without ever taking anything away from someone to whom that something belongs to.

Spirituality is not a goal, it is a tool and a method

Unlike a lot of people think, spirituality is not a goal, but it is a tool and a method to achieve a goal that you’re aiming for, and some of these goals are mutually exclusive, meaning that they are completely opposite goals that cannot be reached at the same time by one person. For instance;

Reaching balance

Reaching inner peace or calm

Achieving wealth and abundance

Ridding oneself from individual ego to be able to rejoin people less talented than oneself as one again

Self-actualizing; finding out what one’s authentic, healthy ego is made of, separating from the expectations of others and becoming free to be one’s own individual self. (Mutually exclusive goal to the previous one.)

Ridding oneself from physicality or sexuality (the desire for physical life or sexual acts)

Avoiding pain and suffering

Learning to love and enjoy pain and suffering

Learning to get everything you need

Learning to live without much material good

Learning to levitate (in my opinion, impossible, but who am I to judge)

Learning to achieve physical immortality (in my opinion, possible.)

Creating a fantasy reality to replace the one you are living in order to alleviate pain and suffering

Enabling oneself to sense other’s emotions and thoughts without the necessity of words

Learning to see beyond the physical realm (learning to imagine things or share thoughts and thought-information)

Increasing creativity or productivity or intelligence

Learning to be accepted within one’s own community or by certain people (the Normal Person* goal)

Learning to accept the fact not everyone likes you no matter what you do

Convincing oneself that there will be a day when everyone will love you no matter who you are (this day may come in a few million years so you will have time to practice)(the Normal Person* goal)

Learning to become a better… whatever it is that you do

Learning to understand everything about… whatever you are interested in

Learning to remember all of your past lives and retain the memory of your future ones

Learning to draw a timeline through your past lives towards your future and learning to guide your future toward a destiny of your choosing

Learning to control pain

Learning to heal yourself spiritually rather than medically and more to the point staying healthy from the beginning.

Losing weight or learning to receive the body you actually truly love

Learning how to do… whatever it is that you want to do

Achieving more intense orgasms

Finding more intense love relationships

Finding your most intense sexual soulmates, for any type of a relationship including poly-relationships

Healing your past relationships

Destroying your past relationships and soul connections

You can use spirituality to control and destroy lives (a lot of people do this without thinking)

You can also reverse your habit of controlling and destroying lives of those people who do not conform to your will (Proud control freaks, pay attention.)

You can deceive yourself through spiritual means just as easily if not easier than you can achieve clarity and peace of mind.

You can use spirituality as a boost for your false ego much easier than you can use new shoes for the same purpose.

Spirituality should always be a function through which you attempt to reach the truth, with the assumption that the exact, whole truth is not known yet to anyone in this world – or that there is room for expansion to that knowledge and questioning it, too.

The list is endless. Whatever it is that you want to achieve in life is potentially a spiritual goal.

Spirituality is an intuitive process to achieve a goal

Spirituality isn’t about what anyone else has done in order to achieve something. Spirituality is a process of figuring out how YOU are going to achieve a goal. The same process doesn’t fit everyone, in fact, the identical process that you are using successfully will never work fully for someone else. Alterations are always needed, but the less rigid the teacher, the less you need to fight your teachers perception or preconceptions and we all have some.

You should never attempt to serve any other god than The Truth. If the God you are serving can’t survive the queries, he or she is probably not much of a god. Truth exists out there, without our need to know it, it simply is and it is always going to exist no matter how much people try to twist it or alter it. Even if they managed, the truth is that it was twisted or altered, and still the Truth remains. If a god needs you to trust something other than the truth to his or her discovery, he or she is attempting to twist the truth. It is not wise to hang onto a partial truth discovered by someone other than yourself or you when you were still too immature to know whether or not what you thought was the truth was the truth – this includes your previous incarnations. If someone in the year 0 was able to understand God, you can rest assured you can understand your own feelings if you allow yourself to feel them, and that is where spirituality begins.
