Living by a gut feeling
I must say I’ve mostly lived by the gut feeling my whole life, and every time I’ve gone against it, I’ve lived to regret that decision. However, in some sense, I haven’t gotten far, in another sense, I’ve achieved the impossible this way. I put that in the beginning because I am still lacking that final nail in the coffin of doubt over whether I’m doing the right thing or not, or if I should recommend or teach this approach to other people. I don’t know that my life will turn out right, but I believe it will.
I call myself a psychic, but every factual piece of information I receive from the spirit is about 80% of the time total BS. STILL, I feel I know the difference between when to trust it and when not to, and the key difference is in the gut. The way I think of it is: “I don’t understand why that happens, but I will figure it out later.” I trust my spiritual guidance, but I don’t believe an effin’ word the spirits tell me.
Gut feeling, hunch, intuition, instinct, being drawn to something, feeling guidance
What a gut feeling is, is probably the most silent of forms of instinct. It is a quiet knowledge that if I do this, that will happen… Or has a chance of working out. There is very little logical sense in the gut feeling, it’s simply knowing without knowing. TRUSTING something to be true without a lot of clear evidence. That doesn’t make it invalid, it’s just that the logical mind cannot really put together the reasons why one trusts their gut.
A hunch is a little bit more logical. It has an object. It is a trust in some specific thing like a business idea, “I have a hunch this will work”. A gut feeling is a much less obviously linked to something specific. I had a hunch that the Internet was going to work for me. I was drawn to Second Life. My intuition guided me to build a sim. My instinct takes me toward psychological and spiritual work, but I was also drawn to it. In addition, I felt that I was being guided toward spiritual exploration, which very closely ties in with the gut feeling… The gut feeling is less self-aware, and more aware of a deeper meaning, a deeper goal. The feeling of guidance is a bit more fleeting, it’s like a momentary clarity that reassures you that your gut is telling you the right thing.
Lust, love, heart-bond
The gut feeling has very little to do with romance or relationships. It has more to do with achievements, life plans, higher purpose. Our soulmate relationships are more chakra-driven. The bonds are created through various chakras, most obviously the sacral chakra, heart, and third eye. When all three are in alignment, it’s pure lust we feel. (Lust, by the way, is not the same as “sexual attraction”, which is a very mild feeling compared.) I personally believe that lust is nature’s way to guide you to your True Emotion Mirrors… At least once you’ve somewhat mastered your need to serve self alone, and when you truly WANT love and connection from your relationships. Lust may be empty for those whose emotional capacity hasn’t surpassed the need to serve one’s own needs only, and whose ability to understand other people is very underdeveloped. The heart connection is the same thing. Some people may be heart-bond to people who they cannot serve, but who can serve them.
