Misery loves company and opportunists love misery.

There is an old saying, “Misery loves company.” It should continue: “… and opportunists love your misery.” This is when weasels come into your life. This is when horrible people who cannot connect with another person in any other way but to “console you” when you’re miserable come to “be your friend.” People who you never trusted before are there – because you shouldn’t trust them, but in your misery, you allow just about anyone to sit with you and listen… They are there, and then, they will remind you who was there when you were going through though times, who was the one person who didn’t run when you were in your sorrow… They were. But they’re there just putting debt on your friendship account, willing to collect for the rest of your life.

The only people who come to you in your misery are opportunists, users, and friends who suffered the same loss. Your friends should leave you alone because this is not a time for bonding. This is a time for sorrow. Never bond with people when you’re miserable, or if you choose to, remember to tell them you’re not going to be friends after you get over your misery. That you know why they’re here now. (Your sorrow will give you the strength of sarcasm.)

There are people whose only dating game is demonstrating misery. “Oh, I’m so miserable and alone, boo-hoo…” (If you notice your True Emotion Mirror be all miserable around you, you may see to it if it’s just a seduction thing… Otherwise, leave them alone. You don’t want to get into it.)

Then, people who bond through misery need to always RETURN to misery to bond further. Therefore, they’ll try to make you cry so you’ll notice how much you need them, or they’ll try to act miserable so you’d know how much they need you.

Bleh. To each their own, but I personally prefer people with a capacity to happiness and joy, thank you very much.

Imagine if politicians started to gather votes from happy people who just want to spread joy into the world… Instead of trying to remind you all the time on how miserable you are… and how much you need them.
