Money – The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
Spiritually speaking, money is a bit of a difficult topic. We all need to eat, but there is a persistent belief that makes money “dirty”, and that you shouldn’t “taint” anything good with it. Where this idea comes from is probably vicious, violent, and self-serving greed attached to money and gold, which is not really about money itself but the people who react to it in a horrible way.
Money itself is a beautiful thing, spiritually speaking. It is the closest thing to magic you can get in real life. It will turn anything at all into anything at all. It can turn information about butterflies into a house, cookies into school uniforms, and lemons into sweet candy. Magical! Whatever you can do or anything you have will turn into anything you need through money, in proportion, of course. If that is not magical, I don’t know what is.
Money isn’t dirty. It is appreciation in paper form.
Let me describe a long battle with my (ancestral) god over money.
You should offer your services for free, what do you need money for?
All my life, I’ve worked for free or without payment. I’ve always tried to start up a business, trying so hard to make things work for me, failing at whatever reason at any given time. I lacked consistency, self-sabotaged at times, stopped just as things started to clear up, and the like, but why, is the question. The only thing I’ve kept up for long enough for me to KNOW it WILL make money one day, is what I am doing right now and what I have been doing for the past 7 years without a sign of a dollar, but I know it will pay off, because I want it so bad, not the money, but to make this work. I DESERVE the money, and I want to make this business work for the sake of it, as it will do so much good in this world.
