Reincarnation, death, and the belief of “one single life”
We live eternally. That is what a lot of us have come to believe, some in the sense that the soul lives on in another realm, but others, in a spiritual place. Now, imagine God trying to explain the concept of reincarnation to someone who is afraid of death. “Taking another form” can mean either a spiritual form or a physical form. “Eternal life in paradise” can mean either a continual reincarnation cycle on planet Earth, that, arguably, at least used to be a freaking paradise, or a physically immortal life that is a result of complete self-awareness and re-discovering your authentic state with your authentic soulmates… Just saying.
I have gotten to the conclusion that God has decided to appease us all when we ask him about these matters. He simply waits a bit, then decides what it is that you WANT TO believe and he will convince you that things are the way you like them, simply because the truth may be too complicated for you to understand – or, in MUCH more real way; INCREDIBLY SIMPLE. The truth, as far as I’ve figured, is so simplistic that it is difficult to explain to someone who is hell bent to over-complicate it. I think he starts by agreeing with you with everything that you believe to be true now, and he’s like Yeah Yeah, go on, believe what you like and I’ll go along with it, just don’t waste your life worrying about stuff, go live your life!
“Your sins are forgiven” and “there is no sin” are two different ways to say the same thing: Don’t worry. Go live your life. Do whatever it is you need to do to feel better. It is all good. Live. Be happy. I have your back, it is all safe, there is no place for you to fall and get misplaced. (“I’ll wait until Sebby comes back and figures this out for you.” 😉 Joking.) There is a difference between people who want to know the answers because they are afraid and anxious, and for those people, ANY explanation will do as long as it is calming and reassuring, and those who want answers because they are simply curious. I am one of the latter people.
People who are bored of life want to hear nothing more than that there is an end to this drama. Telling someone who is completely depressed that they have to live forever is not exactly the thing they want to hear, is it? People who are so locked into the way they know life to be now, that they cannot see any other possibility of a new kind of life, are kind of a toss between the two: if you feel that stuck, thinking that you only have one life to make a change will depress you to no end, and on the other hand, making a change may fail, so then, thinking there’s only one life to tolerate may be the best idea, while hoping that something piques their interest and will guide them towards a new ray of hope.
What if I told you that there is an endless number of lives to live and none of it has a specific goal that you have to achieve? It is completely your decision what you want to work towards, and you have an endless number of lives to achieve your goal. Suddenly, you won’t feel so restricted in time anymore, I hope.
Therefore, what you also need to know is that our reincarnations are linear. They do not jump in time or you won’t suddenly wake up as a Japanese woman who is bad at maths if you were a high-achieving Wall Street broker in this lifetime. The reincarnations are logical and they do follow a timeline. The reason why some people are led to believe otherwise is the feeling of jealousy of others good luck is alleviated by the idea that successful people had all the luck and the rest of us simply had a poor hand dealt, but the reality is that we incarnate linearly and logically, changing only through our own effort through all those incarnations. You can see the line of development if you erase the deaths and births from your timeline, the only thing is that you are “teleported” into a new life situation and you lose your memory in between, and only those events will alter the person you will become, but you will always remain a version of yourself, and that is fantastic. This also means NOBODY WAS LUCKY, whatever they achieved, they worked at themselves, and at worse, used someone else to achieve what they wanted, as in, took a free ride through manipulation. However, manipulation is a skill just like everything else, and if you’re good at it, then, heck, you deserve what is coming to you; Including the crash at the end of your free ride, when you wake up talentless and friendless after a long series of free rides. Life is a game of strategy, and the way you want to play it is up to you, also, what the choice of a life goal is also up to you.
