School grades are notoriously not a direct indicator of a person’s IQ score. Many highly intelligent people also say that the IQ scores do not reflect their intelligence directly because it measures only a certain type of intelligence, although it would correlate to some extent, certainly better than school grades. However, I found another interesting measure […]

A celebrity; public property. The permission to scrutinize, judge, prod and poke at will, tear into their private life, past wounds and failures of all sorts. “Who do you think you are? Who gave you the permission? Do you deserve your place? Explain yourself.” The ego of the unknown needs to be reassured: “They are nothing. […]

There are about a thousand ways to define and understand the word “ego” so let me just tell you what I consider it to be. The word “ego” quite directly translated means more or less the same as the word “I”. What is ego, is your idea of who you are, your idea of “self”, […]

Ego. What a terrifying word, right? To have someone accuse you of “having an ego” is something successful people or ambitious people hear all the time. That accusation, however, is just as idiotic as accusing someone of having hair. It is a problem only if you don’t have an ego. The reason why the word “ego” is so misunderstood stems probably from spiritual texts…

Always keep in mind that the way you feel about the entities you are discussing with, it is an authentic feeling. If you don’t trust them, you shouldn’t trust them no matter how nicely they talk to you. If you trust them, it doesn’t matter how they phrase their message. And always remember that to find out the truth you cannot be simply asking for a confirmation to the beliefs you already hold.

Ego can be either false or true. A lot of the time in spiritual discussion these modes get misinterpreted. We are supposed to rid ourselves from false ego; an identity that is built on lies and false idea of oneself as opposed to our true ego, our authentic self. Spiritual people are inclined to a false ego; pretending to be better than what we are so that we would appear “enlightened”.
