the Survivalist* don’t learn from non-friends.

the Survivalist* cannot trust a person who isn’t their parent or a close friend to teach them anything worth learning. This is why formal education doesn’t work on the Survivalist* very reliably at all. This is also the reason why the Survivalist* easily adopt bad ideas from friends. The Survivalist* are easily misled because who they pick things up from is determined by who happens to treat them kindly and as a friend… The Survivalist* are also are much more prone to believe what they want to hear rather than what is the truth than the Idealists* are.

the Idealists* are better at screening who is worth learning from, whether they know the person personally or not. This is why the Idealists* both produce online coaching content and listen to online coaches that they don’t know personally. To the Survivalist*, this way of learning feels suspicious and redundant. They don’t know how a person on the other side of the world could possibly teach them something useful or reliable. To the Survivalist*, their motivation to teach must be duplicitous, but they just don’t know what the catch is.

the Survivalist* drain the Idealists* teacher’s energy

To a Idealists*, teaching the Survivalist* is emotionally taxing and invasive. They rarely feel a friendship with a person they’re teaching and feel sucked out of energy when the Survivalist* tries to make a friend out of them before listening to them. The Idealists* view their students as students, not as (potential) friends. They feel weird about teaching someone they would feel equal to – unless there’s a clear age difference and they feel their student is equally smart to them, just inexperienced and young. The Idealists* usually cannot feel a friendship toward a person they are teaching – they cannot truly feel an equal to someone, particularly one of their own age – who requires their guidance.

Equality is the key element in igniting a Idealists*’s feelings of friendship, but then the Survivalist* see equality differently: Equal in their rights, rather than abilities. The Idealists* need equal abilities and virtues in their same-age counterparts to feel friendship or love toward them, and they need to feel an equal potential in their younger students to feel kinship or friendship to them. This is why the Idealists* cannot teach the Survivalist*.

the Idealists* doubt people who are not as smart as themselves.

the Idealists*, in their turn, do not learn from people who are less intelligent than they are. A smart the Idealists* will start doubting the abilities of their average intelligent teachers around the age of 12 and up, and therefore, they don’t really learn from all of their teachers when they get older. They get better at picking and choosing the older they get and get more comfortable around people less intelligent than themselves, but there is a time when they will generally speaking reject all information coming from a person not as smart as they are.

The good thing is, that the Idealists* will continue learning all through life, from people equally smart or smarter than themselves, where as the Survivalist* are basically done learning new things by the time they turn 25.

Course sale gimmicks are geared toward the Survivalist*.

To a Idealists*, something like YouTube is heaven-sent in regards to finding material to learn from. To the Survivalist*, it is the last thing they need. However, the Survivalist* can be fooled into trusting an online coach by basically forcing their attention on a person for a prolonged period of time. This is what these long-form adverts are based on. You sign up for a course; “enter your email here for a free download”, “but WAIT there is MORE, sit through this entire spiel, and don’t blink,” if you know the type. The play is on the Survivalist*. The longer they watch you, the more they trust you. The more friendly and buddy-buddy you act, the more they trust you. Another way to gain the Survivalist*’ trust is to appear as a dry authority figure.

Still, the older the Survivalist* is, the less information they can absorb, and the slower the process. For a Idealists*, it’s kind of the opposite; the older they get, the faster they learn.

the Idealists* base their trust on how natural a person acts. The less gimmicky their approach, the more a Idealists* trusts that person. An Idealist* coach should NEVER resort to the Survivalist* gimmicks, even with proven to sell, as they will attract the exact crowd that will drain them of all their energy and will to live… And, to boot, the Survivalist* are more keen on repaying you with love and praise rather than money. If you are selling courses to the Survivalist*, make sure you got your money before you’ve said a word…
