The meaning of self-confidence in a True Emotion Mirror relationship

Self-confidence is the key to ALL of our relationships, each and every one of them. The reason is somewhat simpler than what it sounds… When we are insecure about ourselves and how we’ll be received, or even whether people would love us TOO MUCH if they knew what we are like, we don’t let our soul out of the cage, so to speak. We try to blend in, look like everyone else, or try to act cool and unaffected, or we try to keep ourselves to ourselves, away from scrutiny and observation.

That is exactly what we receive; we disappear out of sight so that nobody, not even our True Emotion Mirror can really see us even though we’d sit right in front of them.

You don’t have to think you’re the most awesome person in this world, or that you’ll have any man’s or woman’s heart by the snap of your fingers – that can put a lot of people off, too – but you do need to think you’re alright. Good enough to exist and to see, at least, so you can release your energy and let people see who you are – feel it. You will walk freely, you’ll move unconstricted, you’ll speak a little more or louder or, at least, with a little less strain in your voice, and you’ll just breathe easier…

And simply that is attractive to your True Emotion Mirror. They will be the first to spot you, most likely, but you’ll need to learn to appreciate yourself enough to give SOMETHING out to the others to see.

By hiding and pretending to be something you’re not, you’ll only get approval from people who don’t really love you, and you’ll wind up in a group of people who are only Trail Companions* to you… They’ll think you’ve got potential or that they might be able to turn you into something they’d like more, they’d take you as material for something half-decent, but the people who truly love you won’t be able to see you for who you are…

At least not clearly enough to truly trust that you are the amazingly cute and cuddly person who they think you are.
