The path of least resistance doesn’t mean no resistance.

The path to what you want is laid out like a river. You float to it with very little effort. Even if you’d be working like a madman, you’d be working happily. You’ll lift your weights effortlessly or happily, even if the weights would crush another person… who is not in the river. While the least resistance is easy, it is not completely without effort. You still have to do the work that you’re compelled to do.

There are other routes you could take; you may take a look at them and contemplate taking them, but the path of least resistance makes it easy for you to keep doing what you’re doing… Like I’ve already written over 30 books worth of material on this topic… Last I counted, that is. The real number might be double that by now. I wouldn’t know, because I’m not trying to write a word count. Oddly enough, it is coming out, even though I’ve been trying to force myself to stop.

For years, I struggled to get off my ass to exercise and maintain even a semi-decent diet, even though good looks and health meant a lot to me. Couldn’t do it. Then, all of a sudden, it became clear that NOW was the time. I returned to the gym, started eating a strict diet, and dropped kilos over a few weeks.

Those are not the only things… There are a ton of creative projects and planning and whatnot that I’ve gotten done, without forcing myself to do ANY of it. I do what I feel compelled to do, and I don’t lift a finger if I don’t feel compelled to do it.

I have also somewhat effortlessly stopped talking to certain people, and I would have to FORCE MYSELF to if I needed to. Maybe one day, talking to them will feel natural again, but every time I think of it at this time, the scene turns ugly really quickly…

The message, thus, is: don’t force yourself to stop or start. Stop, start, and keep going as you feel guided to… Nothing else.
