The universe is TRYING to give you what you want.
Whatever it is that you want, the Universe is trying hard to give it to you, but a lot of times we’re actively talking ourselves out of it. We can also mess things up by simply telling ourselves “it couldn’t happen” or “it’s too good to be true” and “I will come off as an idiot if I open my mouth and prove to people I think that what I want is being offered to me.”
Say, you really want to find true love – and if you don’t you’re a moron and shouldn’t have a right to vote 😉 – you want true love, right? You fall head over heels in love with someone, but you think you can’t have them because they’re too good for you. So you self-reject, or start nervously talking to someone who loves everything you do and then interpret their response as a rejection, because that’s what you THOUGHT they said.
OR you may say you want true love, but you’re trying to find it among people who are out of your league, either below you or above you; still, not your league, and you can’t find true love in there. You may KNOW you’re “dating down” or “punching above your weight” but you do it anyway because for whatever reason you think your chances are better there… For what, I don’t always know. Maybe you’re prioritizing your friend’s admiration of you over that true love so you go for someone who you kinda know wouldn’t love you for you… WHILE your True Love is right there.
Whatever it is that you’re after, the dream job, fame, fortune, true love, mindblowing sex, I don’t know, all of the above? The Universe is TRYING to give it to you.
Think for a bit.
How many opportunities have you missed because you told yourself it’s not FOR YOU?
THE ONLY EXCUSE I will ever accept is knowing IT WASN’T TIME yet, because…?
Also, the Universe is not giving you things only after you stop wanting them because it’s a rule, but because you’ll relax about it.
That said, you may have heard that people tend to get what they want only after they stop wanting it or caring about the outcome. This is probably true, but not because the Universe wouldn’t have given it to you when you were BEGGING for it. The reason why you didn’t get it is that YOU couldn’t TRUST that it was available to you yet.
You didn’t trust that you are loved, appreciated, admired, cared for… And worthy of your biggest dream.
The Universe will give you AN OPPORTUNITY, that’s its job, but it won’t do your work for you.
And before I put the right hope into the wrong people, I’ll also have to say that SOMETIMES people do go looking for their dream in the wrong places, and THAT TOO is your fault. Your aim is wrong. The Universe is STILL trying to give you your biggest dream, but it may not look the way you think it looks, or you simply truly are not THERE YET. If you want to win the Olympics, for instance, you CANNOT just turn up and expect results because you want it so. If you want it, you’ll work at it. The Universe will give you AN OPPORTUNITY, but it won’t do your work for you, and it won’t speak words on your behalf.
Currently, what might be in front of you is a training program… but you’re seeking the medal.
So, you want something, right? The Universe will provide you with the route to get you what you want. But every goal has some kind of a growth period to get there, and the Universe may have given you an opportunity to be the person you seek to be, but if you’re ignoring your task list, and your training, you won’t get there.
The likelihood is that you won’t forget about your goal, and the task list will remain there until you tackle it. You will not grow muscles out of thin air and french fries. You won’t become a surgeon by drinking and partying. You won’t become an Olympian by skipping your training sessions. And you won’t become the world’s greatest lover by being selfish, entitled, and clueless.
What you want has a road to it.
Are you going to walk it or give it up? Is it worth it? Do you want it WITH THE WORK or just sit there posing thinking other people might be fooled as they’re looking at you? What part of it do you want? The reality of getting to your dream or the illusion of getting to your dream? Do you even know the difference?
It’s all up to you.
