What is a law, and what is a common practise; the Normal Person* vs. The Savants*
the Normal Person* may have some trouble telling law and a norm apart. This comes from the fact that to them, what isn’t strongly enforced isn’t a real law, whereas an Anarchis feels that what isn’t hurting anyone else isn’t a real law… Or it shouldn’t be.
Therefore, when a Savants* emphasizes something awesome or cool, they may say: “Listen, you HAVE TO do this. You gotta try it. You MUST do it.” What they mean is that if you don’t you’ll be missing out on something great. “You gotta invest in Bitcoin. You HAVE to give it a go.” To a Savants* means that OK, you’ll be missing out on an opportunity if you don’t. What the Normal Person* hears is “you have to invest in Bitcoin”, and they feel that person is trying to claim to them that it is A LAW that you must invest in Bitcoin, and they feel they are being lied to. The Savants* is trying to convince them to commit a crime or buy into a scam, why else would they be lying about it being a requirement that you buy Bitcoin?
A Normal Person* says “You have to do X” when they mean it is a law, requirement for participation, or similar. “You have to be vaccinated to take part in future events here.” This doesn’t mean that you’ll be missing out on an opportunity, it simply means that no vaccine, no entry. The Savants* understand this the same way.
the Savants* logic: Am I hurting someone by doing/not doing something? No? Then it’s (should) not (be) a real law.
the Normal Person* logic: Will I be punished if I do/don’t do something? No? Then it’s not a real law.
