What makes the Savants* thinkers a little gullible?

the Savants* thinkers would never be proud knowing that they, we, can get a little gullible. We value the truth so much that we find it inconceivable that someone would tell a lie for attention or approval. The Savants* feel it would be counter-effective, as the truth will eventually come out, and it would be more embarrassing than sending your Only Fans link to your boss by accident. They cannot conceive a reason why anyone would try to win social status with a lie, as it can only backfire down the line.

the Savants* tend to also be quite good at stuff. They don’t NEED TO lie in order to sound interesting to others. They can stick to the truth and wow others with their thinking, life attitude, wisdom, experiences, etc. Therefore, they find it easy to believe a person who merely claims to have done similar things that the Savants* take for granted people can do and do all the time.

A Normal Person* lies to a Savants* sounds a bit like this: “Yeah, I know how to climb a ladder.” Then six days later, it turns out that this guy can’t climb a ladder. The Savants* would wonder why in heaven’s name, someone would boast about knowing how to climb a ladder if, in fact, they’re deathly afraid of heights, and this wasn’t an impressive skill, to begin with… People were going to find out fast…

To a Savants* thinker, it’s not usual to find people who are smart, achieved, ambitious, virtuous… You name it, and they don’t think of these things as a major achievement. Therefore, they’re going to easily believe someone is an artist, doctor, a philosopher… A YouTube influencer, you name it, without it having to red flag a lie. To the Normal Person* thinker, a lot of a little above the median professions fall under a “possible lie” until proven true. (Especially when dating, they feel it’s acceptable and understandable to bend the truth a little – for privacy reasons.)

the Savants* also hate asking for help; typically, as once you start, you easily become helpless and inadvertently hand over your autonomy to another person, which is the Savants* Hell On Earth. Therefore, when the Normal Person* pretend to be the victim, the Savants* are quick to believe them, because they themselves would HAVE TO BE desolate and desperate to ask for help. They’d never imagine someone to put themselves in that position as “a strategy,” risking their autonomy for a small help along.

the Savants* utilize mild “been a bit busy” or “oh, I didn’t know that was an expectation” -excuses for lies, but they don’t deliberately dress down or skip showers to try and appear as pathetic and pitiful as possible. An Savant* homeless person may look rather presentable, as they hate seeming pathetic and needy or incompetent, (but ironically, a Savants* millionaire with a proven track record may look like a homeless person – just saying. (Different story, tho.))

As the Savants* would never risk losing their autonomy over an easier ride, they tend to believe everything that the Normal Person* says about their hardships and how much they’ve endured. And as a Savants* would never lie about their accomplishments as every lie would reflect negatively to their true accomplishments; they tend to believe every the Normal Person* lie about great achievements without much of scrutiny – they’ll figure it out soon enough anyway, so they give people the benefit of the doubt at first if they can.
