What to make of “the signs” I see around me?

To be honest, signs don’t always mean the same thing for everyone. They don’t appear the same way to everybody. It’s just a reoccurring thing that you notice and have a feeling that it means something more than a coincidence.

You may see the legendary 1111 everywhere, but does it spell out the same message for you as it does for others? (Since that one’s quite well known, it is only used to mean a Twin Flame union, but you get the idea.) For instance, a number sequence that keeps repeating is much more likely to contain a message TO YOU if it’s something personal, like numbers from your birthday. But… What do they mean?

I personally get so many of them that I’m annoyed by them these days. I think it may mean I need to write about the effin’ signs, so here I am. The instruction I got from my own blog was: “Be kind to yourself first.” Gah. OK. I’ll try.

Connect to the feeling you get from them.

The first time I remember “getting signs,” was related to Aerosmith, the rock band. It seemed that everything I did somehow pointed out to Aerosmith, which made me wonder HOW was it “always Aerosmith,” not Extreme, which was my absolute favorite band at the time. I wasn’t LOOKING for Aerosmith signs; in fact, I was always on the lookout for anything to do with Extreme, but it was always Aerosmith. NOT band shirts or other brand items of a more popular band, but rather, after Pink, the song, was released, I went to find new shoe laces for my calf-high army boots, and the only pair left that was long enough was pink. I thought, “oh, well, I’ll get pink laces as a homage to Aerosmith” as I still liked the band, just not as obsessively as Extreme. That’s when it hit me: “Why is it always AEROSMITH?!” I think I even said it out loud to a friend of mine, and the signs stopped RIGHT THERE. Never seen one since. (This was 1998.) It was like, “OK, you got it. Thank you. Remember.” I kinda of now know what it meant, but not quite. “Pink is like red but not quite…”

The next set of signs I remember was the repeated repeated repeated stories of Don Juan. All the time. I open the radio, and someone is talking about Don Juan. I get a school assignment, and it’s to be about Don Juan, the play by Moliere. I can’t remember, but similarly, I exclaimed, I think at the radio, “What, Don Juan, again?” I know who it referred to and why the signs were there, constantly haunting. It was about a guy. I remember my friend exclaiming after meeting him for the first time: “Oh my God, that’s the Most Don Juan -kind of guy I’ve ever seen!” Maybe the point of them was that “he’s a player; if you want him, play him.” I just thought about that. 😀 I missed that point. I’ve never been much of a player.

I’ve never been good at riddles… Kinda hate them, so it may be that I’ve ignored a lot of signs just thinking, “fuck stop bugging me, and TELL ME what you mean!”

Lately, I’ve been getting the number 1011 a lot. To me, it means a polyandrous True Emotion Mirror match. (See why?) Sometimes it switches to 1111, but mostly, it’s three ones and a zero in some order.

I don’t really like signs a lot, they ANNOY me. Still, they do make one curious.

Just a direction sign post, riddle, clue, or just encouragement – maybe a warning?

The signs you get should be talking to you, personally. You shouldn’t ask too much what they mean to another person, you should try and connect to the feeling you get from it, and perhaps ask more, more obvious, “beginner sings” if you’re confused.

Some signs are there just to point your interest toward a person or a topic, they’re not usually a COMMAND of any kind. Just “what about him/her? Would you prefer them?” rather than “you have to dump your current significant other for this person.”

So what if the signs you get now are just to get your attention so you can ask where they are leading you to? Rather than just waving a hand, maybe they’re pointing you somewhere – or are ready to point a direction for you if you just looked?

Signs could also be a warning. “Don’t go there.”

You could ask the universe to tell you what it means by the sign you’re getting by picking a new post.
